>>213723447 (OP)Well, yes the Nazis were cowardly.
However, the Nazis were also always going to invade east and were always going to invade the USSR because that was the primary, original, public purpose of the party and movement. The fundamentals of being a Nazi was being an anti-communist that believed Germanics deserved Eastern Europe. (Jews were literally a secondary enemy only because they spread communism and degeneracy; the primary holocaust was supposed to be of communists in Eastern Europe, which is why the holocaust killed 4 million slavs)
UK and France had promised to act like world-police for Europe and stop Germany invading Poland (they promised to be very upset if Germany invaded Czechoslovakia), so if the Nazis did what they were setting out to originally do they knew they'd be at war with Britain and France.
Hitler didn't wait for the war to be waged on him; he correctly guessed France could be knocked out quickly and incorrectly assumed Britain would stop resisting and let Germany have most of the continent.
Germany didn't declare war on the US for no raisin, they did it because the US was waging a shadow war against Germany and they hoped they could finally, openly, intercept American shipping supplying Britain and Russia. US support was why Britain stayed in the war. Literally, literally 1 (one) guy ruined Hitler's plan: his art teacher Roosevelt, because he was a crypto communist even down to not believing in elections. If Roosevelt had done what the American people supposedly wanted and stayed clearly out of the war (which was written in the newspapers the Nazis were reading) Britain wouldn't have believed they had a fighting chance and would have accepted peace and the USSR would have been dismantled.
