>thinks this is a bad movie And right away OP identifies himself as someone who loves the cock and has, I dare say, absolutely terrible taste in movies. It's one of the first movies to spark a long zombie revival and popularity of the "fast zombie" type.
>>213772756 28 Days later did that though. And Resident Evil(the Ps1 games) sparked interest in zombies again. Danny Boyle even cited them as an inspiration
>>213772693 (OP) Resident evil did it better with a nuke and advanced humans.

Dawn of the Dead 2004 is kino and even has kino extended footage on the DVD. It introduced me to Disturbed, to zombie films and an interest in planning my perfect zombie survival plan. Sadly I’m not a teenager anymore but I still have a soft spot for the film.
>>213776121 DoTD only worked because he had a good source material to work off of and Gunn was writing it. That Netflix zombie movie he made about a heist in Las Vegas was fucking awful.
>>213776161 It’s hilarious the only certified fresh movie Snyder has was written by Gunn haha

>>213772693 (OP) Even though I did enjoy it when it came out on 2004, in the back of my mind while watching it was voice going "cool, but who does this faggot think he is, taking these liberties with Dawn of the Dead?" I always kinda knew it was a bit of an insult. Also running zombies trying to capitalize on the 28 Days Later shit, was pretty gay.
Sucker Punch is a wierd fetish film sneeder made for some reason but Rebel Moon (specially the sequel) its straight up, not only the worst thing he has directed but one of the worst high budget movies ever.

>>213772756 Retard 28 Days Later came out 2 years before this with fast zombies.
>>213772693 (OP) It's pretty good, but I still like Romero's trilogy, NOTLD '90, and ROTLD more. Dawn '04 is right after those which is still high praise considering there's no other good zombie movie.
>>213776202 Whatever man, it was fucking dumb. Mutant neon zombies with super powers are straight out of a 360 game from 2009, nobody can take Fagtista as an action hero and the slow mo shots looked so laughable

>>213772693 (OP) I think it's fine. I agree calling it Dawn of the Dead is silly, it barely has anything in common with the original (which is a good thing). Saying it's pissing on Romero's grave is just being dramatic. Romero has made a lot of shit worse than this.

Nothing funnier than seing zombinerds ranting about how X movie is some form of elevated art and psychological terror while Y movie missed the point. The zombie sub genre is nothing but an excuse for safe gore and cheap horror. That's it. At least slasherfags are aware their movies are nothing to be taken seriously
>>213779506 Zombie movies outside of Romero's trilogy are shit even judging by your standards. His films were extremely well crafted while most since are made by people who have no idea what they're doing. Some of the Resident Evil movies could have been great action pictures, but they're so bloodless that there's little point in their rating.
