Should they try to reboot the universal monster franchises again?

Is there a reason they couldn't just continue from Dracula untold still

I feel like no matter how high quality any Monsterverse release could be, it'd flop regardless

Nope. Tom Cruise absolutely murdered it with his abortion of a Mummy movie.

yeah this is unfortunately true, horror doesn't make money on a big budget and these films would be heavily bloated budget-wise just by forcing it to be a "tentpole" franchise

>it flopped
looking at the wiki it seemed to do OK at the box office.
Its a great movie.
Tom cruise mummy was a bit shit but that did well enough too.
They just need to keep them singular and simple movies unless they are gonna do a league of extraordinary gentlemen type of movie again.
The invisible man was really good too.

literally just bring back fraiser and make a mummy movie where he's old and out of shape
but don't have a young replacement sidekick
just have fraiser and some other middle aged guys dealing with like an incan mummy or some shit and have it he a comedy like the first one
literally that simple

>Guillermo Del Toro is working on a Frankenstein movie
let me guess: ugly women and a faggot protagonist
Guillermo Del Toro ruins more movies, per capita, than Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford combined

we need "universe" in the first place
like normal people doing normal things... then we can have exceptions IF WE NEED THEM
at the moment we have mainstream faggots and deranged individuals being promoted as normals
those need to be helped to get to a camp that caters to their individuality (and nobody else) not acting in movies

No. Let the classics be classics. Any reboots will be soulless attempts at being โ€œgrittyโ€.
Mainstream Hollywood is incapable of making good films anymore. The future is indie.
