>>213776657I like how it felt like an adult episode of Goosebumps, the way it unfolded through the different character chapters, the themes of how if we let guilt drive us it can lead to worse outcomes. The way the villain is slowly revealed right up to when you finally the orange hair silhouette walk past the principles office windows.
Also maybe a bit niche but I find open front doors in suburbia incredibly unsettling when there's nothing but a void past the door and you're anticipating what will come through. I've never seen anything else from this director but it seems like he's good at towing the line between comedy and horror and the juxtaposition of the two creates more tension. I'll probs get called a faggot for writing all this out but it's just my opinion!
