It was pretty bad desu. The New York Post review ended up pretty accurate. It’s like a bad attempt at a Coen movie with like 50% of the movie’s whimsical or attempted humor falling on its face. Idk it’s just bad. Halsey did a pretty good job but they ruined her too with ridiculous zaniness that wasn’t even needed. Honestly the director should’ve just filmed this as a 100% serious movie and it could’ve been really good.

There was basically no need to give Sydney’s character a speech impediment. There’s one line explaining the decision that basically says her character probably wouldn’t give Lefty the time of day unless she had one, and it isn’t even true. Lefty says he has brain issues but that isn’t shown.

They could’ve gotten serious about why the little kid wants to larp as an Indian due to hating his environment but it’s just implied, at the end. Frustrating movie
