I think it was season 4 or 5 of The Walking Dead. I was already falling way off on this show and it was the mid-season finale.
Glen and one or two other people from the gate town in which they lived, were out on a mission.
They ended up in an alley, overrun by walkers and at least one of the others is shown getting killed and they heavily imply Glen dies.
Fast forward to the 2nd half of the season and it shows that he survives by actually hiding beneath another guy who is actively being eaten. Then he somehow climbs out from under him and crawls all the way under a dumpster without being noticed. I gave up on the show right then because they hadn't killed anyone important in a long time and it was lame overall.
