Theres only been 1 trailer and it doesnt release for another 2 months. Hasn't played any festivals yet. Not to mention its an untested director (yes I know he's been with his brother before but this is his first solo project) and an untested dramatic lead.

Also its A24 and they simply dont have the marketing budgets of the big studios

There's a lot of weirdness around this. First casting a 50 year old dude to play a 20-30 year old MMA fighter. The trailer showed scenes that were just 1 -1 taken from parts of the documentary. Now there are rumors that it's actually like a comedy or satire but Dwayne didn't know? The whole thing has intrigued me but it will probably turn out lame. You can just watch the documentary anyway, it's pretty good

I'm extremely hyped for it because this is the first actual R-rated Rock movie where he's doing something different since Pain and Gain, which is a movie I love deeply. The story seems interesting, and it's got a quality cast/director.
Also, Emily Blunt looks fucking hot.
