What's the point of these prequels? You know exactly how it's going to end. You watch this and in the back of your head you know exactly what has to happen to the characters. It's storytelling with the biggest amount of constraints with no benefit whatsoever. And yes, before you ask, all the other prequels are bad too. The Hobbit, the Star Wars prequels, Better Call Saul, Young Sheldon. All terrible, none of them should have been made.
