>doesn't expand on the lore of the first film in your path
if it were any good, only 1 would be necessary
I enjoyed 2 better than 1. Way more interesting protagonist
They're going to explain it in Smil3, just wait. Then S4mile throws a wrench in the whole formula. My uncle works at Paramount, trust me
>>213780982 (OP)There doesn't need to be any lore. It's just a demon and we already got the gist with the first movie. Do you want a Sinister style lore drop?
>>213781269this but it was a little too long
>horror movies
>lore
Lol. Lmao even
>>213781446Would be cool to learn more about it.
>>213780982 (OP)It actually did expand the lore. it showed it's possible to pass the curse to someone else so you can survive
How would you defeat the smiler?
>>213781521You mean like the first movie did with that entire scene at the prison where the black guy told her he beat it by killing someone else & traumatizing a witness?
naomi scott is an astonishing beauty to me personally. Her face is too beautiful.
>>213781580we didn't get to see it happen until 2 and it was a good scene
>>213781515All you need to know it's a smile demon that transfers from person to person when see the other host die
>>213781642IT'S STILL NOT NEW INFORMATION OMFG
WE DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING NEW, NO VISUAL INDICATOR OF IT TRANSFERRING
AND IT DIDN'T EVEN MATTER CAUSE THE GUY IMMEDIATELY DIED ANYWAY
They presented a way for the entity to theoretically be killed that was not mentioned at all in the first film. Granted, depending on how they treat the fallout of the massive event at the end of the film, it might wind up being irrelevant.
>>213781677The beginning of the film
>>213781685It was never actually shown to work until 2 and horror movies have red herring "solutions" all the time like Final Destination
>>213781709Given the rules in the first movie that just made sense without needing to be said. Just like theoretically speaking someone who is already dead inside & feels nothing could starve it out.
>>213781826Something quite similar was shown in Truth or Dare (2019). The Sam character was able to avoid the goofy hallucinations and the curse by locking himself in his apartment and covering everything in foil. It seems unlikely such a thing would work with the Smile demon though, since it both films it is shown to exert such total control over the victim after just a few days.
>Smil3
>After the climax of 2mile, a new wave of rabid people dubbed "smilerz" reek havoc on humanity
>They smile at people and violently kill themselves, thus propogating the smile virus (smilrus)
>The only ones immune to the spread are bitter, cynical, assholes with the "frowner gene"
>It's up to joyless pieces of shit to band together and save humanity, but they don't want to, and in fact dont
>The End
