What's a TV series that dipped in quality over time...but then jumped back UP?

Never happens. It's a law of nature. Once a show is bad, it can only get worse. People who claim otherwise are in some weird abusive realtionship with their favorite show.

Friday Night Lights has a great season 1, a terrible S2 that was impacted by the 2007 writers strike, then a great season 3, 4, and 5
