I'm watching South Park for the first time and watching random episodes from seasons 1-14 and actually like it a lot. What season did it fall off?

About season 12. It was still had good here and there but it becomes unwatchable when they start serealizing the episodes

it flares back up here and there in later seasons once their TDS wore off a bit but now thats returned it seems. I hate trump but theyre just not funny with their trump jokes, and now its especially lazy since theyre just recycling saddam jokes

there's a gradual decline after season 10 or so, but there are still great episodes until like season 18. beyond that it's pretty rough. not as bad as zombie simpsons, but nowhere near its own heights.

id say peak south park is season 5-10, some really gem episodes in there. first few seasons have really funny moments but its also pretty rough and almost experimental.

Season 13, episode 4. That's when the show completely loses its SOUL and become unwatchable.

personally I love the pip episode but I was forced to read great expectations in high school so it feels like an in-joke episode craft specially for me since I fucking hated that book although its morals about romance and women have proven true as ive gotten older

the tooth fairy episode also, in my refined opinion, encapsulates everything that makes early south park good.

Show still has good episodes so it's hard to say it "fell off". The fact that people have widely different answers to this question is a good indication of that. I remember hating whatever season that aired in 2006 and stopped watching it for a while, only to come back to it years later and like the newest season.
