because he was always the best thing about those films. He had the best look and the biggest build, he was the closest we ever got to a true comicbook to real life Superman.
Dean Cain was a better Clark Kent though, in fact he was the GOAT Clark Kent. Incredible work for a mutt.

Man of Steel at least was pretty good imo, even if Superman was too stoic in it, though that was more a failure of the writing. More importantly, Henry's just a likeable guy. Dude's basically a nerd in a chad's body and is simped for by straight men nearly as much as women. The most notable thing about David so far is how he and Rachel seem to be either having or on the verge of having an affair.
