As a serious fan of prog rock, Rush fucking sucks ass, Neil Peart was obviously a genius but lifeson and lee are both absolute jokes. The Band clears as far as Canadian groups go.

Ringo Starr is the best drummer of all time, and the fact that noone notices him is exactly why. Peart's theatrics are impressive, and the band gels around that well, but Bonham was a loose cannon and you can see films of LZ playing and the rest of the band freaking out because he's going off the rails.

I saw him live in a fantomas show and he was incredible, him and Mike Patton improvising for long stretches and playing off each other. His work in slayer is very good of course but holy shit his live playing with fantomas is a whole different side of him.
