He did get quite a few in xmen, mad max and so on. He did well overall I feel. I do think he is an underrated actor though

He's always good, I liked him in Nosferatu
He is unfortunately consigned to a lot of hammy character roles, at least whenever he's in a blockbuster. Then again I haven't dug into his input too much, I'm pretty sure he's in some prussian drama with Elle Fanning that I hear is quite good
