Yeah, this is a dramatization of the real adventures of Bill & Steve.. not everything is accurate. But this is a pretty good 'hacker core' like movie. I also have to put Johnny Mnemonic on the list, it is a pre-cursor to The Matrix. But was much more focused around hacker espionage.

The concept that Johnny Mnemonic traded his childhood memories for 80GB's of internal brain storage is pretty laughable. Even back in 1995 80GB's wasn't that impressive... even funnier that the game Cyberpunk 2077 is like an 80GB install... but the movie still has a dedicated hacker vibe to it.
