Harry Potter is a great series to reboot.

The movies are largely terrible adaptations that completely changed characterizations of several key characters and omit a lot of plot points in favour of romance scenes. This became egregious with Goblet of Fire when the books became too dense to properly adapt as 2.5 hour movies so a TV show has a chance to actually cover the entire series
