I give you infinite money and full leadership.
Tell me your plan to make Warhammer 40K the next big thing in Hollywood in the next 5 years.

Start small. Start with guardsman movie. Donโ€™t blow your load with Space marines until the 3rd movie. Treat the marines like Jaws, ominous and hidden by the fog of war. Start with guardsman, then bring in inquisitors, then marines, then the God emperor.

Film 1: A 3-hour Horus Heresy movie. It would definitely piss off hardcore fans but hook casual viewers with a big, cinematic introduction to the universe.

Film 2: The Empire Strikes Back moment. Guilliman struggles to hold the Imperium together as it gets torn apart on all sides. Ends in tragic defeat.

Film 3: Guilliman launches a last-ditch invasion of the Warp itself to destroy it from within. Along the way, he reunites with lost Primarchs. The Emperor expends the last of His power to obliterate the Warp. Humanity survives in a new, โ€œheavenlyโ€ state but the Space Marines are completely wiped out.

Normies would like it, hardcore fans would be assblasted nerds like always. We'd make a bajillion dollars. The end.

If you combine the books, and games, there has to be well over a thousand 40k stories. All of them are shit. Nothing will ever come from 40k that is worth wasting your time watching, reading, listening to, or playing.

I would make a TV series that is adaptation of all books in Horus Heresy. Each book - 20 episodes season.

>3-hour
>hook casual viewers
Kek
>a big, cinematic introduction to the universe
Or a way to completely blow your load out of the gate
>Film 2&3
So you want to condense all that into at 7-9 hour period with normie likeable characters, world building, etc? Are you high?

The source material is financially irrelevant if you want to make a billion dollars

It would be a total failure. There are like 20 Primarchs and the viewer who is not a WH40k fan won't be able to remember them all. Like with the dwarves in Hobbit.

Would just require enough hype and being actually good. Fellowship did it. Thats kind of what Im basing the core structure off of is creating an epic trilogy. Maybe break up horus heresy into two films max.

Devestation of Baal film. This establishes the lore of Space Marine lore, while also ending with the introduction of Primaris and a Primarch.
Helsreach would go hard as well. Orkz are great antagonist to introduce early to really get people into the setting.

I don't play WH40k and never read the books.
I would write my own original stories and simply retcon or ignore role I don't like.

Ciaphas Cain animated series handled by the people who made Arcane. All characters appear as described. Cain, Jurgen and Amberly voiced by the readers for the audible audio books.

Series about imperial guard trenches on a mining planet
You don't even see the enemy (tyranids) until the 3rd episode
You don't even see the space marines until the end of the season, when they fall from the sky as you think the hope is lost, they save the day and silently nod to our rookie, who holds the line.
Cast: rookie, veteran, lieutenant and radio dude, commissar, medic girl, and those artillery bastards (we never see them, only their voices through radio)
All actors are unknown
For a 20 seconds scene with space marines, we hire Henry Cavil
It would cost ~3 million for 6 episodes

We wait a year and make a season 2, which is nothing like the first one.

Its a detective crime/cult investigation on a hive planet, who killed the two inquisitors? Who managed to do this? Who had the balls?
Turns out it was a genestealer cult from the mining colony
Now its all coming together

I intentionally waste all of it and produce absolutely zero salvageable content leaving you with no possibility to release anything else into the franchise. There may be legal ramifications for me but I'm willing to take one for the team to avoid further 40k entries no one wants or needs.

Dont you UNDERSTAND RETTARDS NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT RANDOM SMALL HISTORIES

Why would any of you want a film or series of films over an animated tv show? Think Spawn the animated series.

I like the idea of a 2 or 3 part Horus Heresy animated movie series to kick off the show though.
