Even worse, itโ€™s for manchildren- the film features way too many crude jokes and innuendos to be for kids

The entire point of this film is to give narcissists something to circlejerk over, no write an actual compelling story- they turned the most selfless character in American fiction into a narcissistic

In the Code Geass Anime, I remember an episode where Lelouch Vi Britannia was giving orders to Kallen and the other rebels when they fought Suzaku. Lelouch had studied the moves and tactics of the Lancelot and he gave specific orders to Kallen and her teammates on how to fight and defeat Suzaku in the Lancelot. If the Japanese can do it, then the American filmmakers can do the same.

That just means he knows his moves, he still has to interpret the situation, choose one of the moves to counter with, and tell the techies to have ultraman do it, which is fucking retarded. Either that or Ultraman is semi-autonomous and able to fight on his own, with the commands being more like an executive override.

I'm not stupid, movies like Inception that folks say "oh it was so complicated you had to pay such close attention or you'd be lost" weren't even slightly hard to follow, in fact despite being about dreams Inception wasn't very abstract at all, it was borderline grounded.

But an hour into Tenet I realized I hadn't the slightest fucking clue what was going on or why. It's just obtuse.

Why do we have to do the exact same thing as Marvel did with Iron Man where everything starts as just ordinary Earth?

this movie, from all the webms i've seen, gives me similar vibies to that mike myers cat in the hat movie. surreal, mean spirited, ironic - the only difference then on is that cat in the hat was actually funny and a good movie and this looks like a grown man who is embarrassed to be making a superhero movie trying to weave that exact same meta-tone into every last piece of it. it looks insipid, too self aware, and like it has shit effects and a bunch of gay characters dividing screentime far too much

That's not really what I was saying, Inception was simple, I agree. But the plot is secondary to the action. It could be replaced by 15 minute segments of nothing with the occasional grunt from the cast and it would still sell tickets, as demonstrated by the most recent John Wick, which was three fight scenes and Reeves' worst acting since Point Break. The plot doesn't matter.

>everyone immediately believing the kryptonian recording

Maybe, but it's probably the most realistic part of the movie.

At the end, though, you've got all of the talking heads apologizing to Superman and a sense that people realize that despite the recording, Superman's a good guy who's there to help and do the right thing, overcoming the momentary doubt Lex Luthor created.

You didn't watch the movie. The land grab was simply a means to have an excuse to kill Superman. Lex was petulant and envious the whole movie, he was willing to turn the whole world inside out just so he could take him out. He cries at the end of the film because superman is the hero, the futurist, the one people look up to.
No matter how much he tries to ruin his name, the people will always live him.
Lex is basically Elon. Richer than God with 0 fucking friends and a crippling desire to be liked

There's a lot that sucked about this movie. Glad I skipped it in theaters.
I don't think it's a poor Lex casting, it's just a very poorly written Lex.
Ma and Pa Kent was quite frankly a disrespectful portrayal.
The fact that mr Terrific and Krypto were the highlights is a big fucking woah buddy.
It's not even clear that this broke even yet, depending on the which cost estimate is being used. Not looking good for Gunn.

When superman said that my entire theatre burst into a thunderous applause. People were shouting and throwing popcorn in the air. Fireworks were being set off. A bottle rocket whizzed past my head, hitting a pregnant woman sitting a few rows back. It was the best theatre experience I've had since the release of The Exorcist.

When playing a real time strategy game, you can make a control group of out troops and assign them to a number key. The "A" key is for attack move, which means the selected unit(s) will move to a location and attack any enemy they encounter.

1A is essentially telling your army to attack somewhere.

I don't agree at all. They felt very realistic and clearly based on someone's actual parents. From the awkward hurried way Martha introduces themselves to Lois when helping move Clark, to Jonathan's talking about him an Martha going with some friends to a burrito place that felt like realistic small talk an elderly parent might make with their adult child that maybe lives a life they struggle to totally comprehend the reality of, but nonetheless have nothing but pride and admiration for, as well as his correct insight that what Clark took the incomplete message to mean matters much more than whatever it actually said. We see from his childhood room the wide variety of interests and hobbies he had, and the final home footage of his childhood that they raised him as best they could, not trying to mold him into something, but simply raise him with good values and a normal healthy childhood, and let him find his own path.

Far more real than the often lofty depiction of Jonathan in adaptations.

Correct, but it also goes for a heckin nice guy angle that's unhinged and tone-deaf, so naturally the usual suspects ate it up. Another case of lefties conjuring a boogeyman and then incarnating the anti version of it, this is their own version of the strawman they made out of Man of Steel - as if it was even necessary to make a strawman out of a Snyder movie, fucking nutjobs.

Something similar happened with that gay Superman show for women that aired a while ago and only ever had online presence while marketing firms were active and people were fapping to cartoon latina Lois during season 1 (who was actually supposed to be gook, that must have crawled under the showrunners' skin real bad, lmao).

Yeah that's just how a lot of people's parents in that region are, anon. They're not bad people, they're just not used to technology and struggle with direct conversation about very personal things. There's a reason the meanest insult in the region is a backhanded compliment.
