>Hides under the desk until she leaves and hits his head getting out, unseating the gasoline failsafe.
>Pulls out the drawer, the diary and death note fall out with the death note extremely singed.
>Restores everything in the room and uses whiteout to make his notebook look like the death note so Light won't notice and takes the burned death note with him.
>Starts interviewing suspects and they keep dying while he interviews them since he wrote their names in the note.
>Finally confronts Light and since he can see Ryuuk he tries to intimidate him with a bad cop routine.
>Cut to the rest of the police force seeing no one else there.
