Bojack was awful but the show treats him like he's the devil at times and it's honestly ridiculous. Like he's accused of being a groomer but whatever manipulation he did was either accidental or idiotic. In order for the drama in Bojack to work you have to forget it's also a comedy, and comedy is all about absurd and dumb moments. It's like if you took every Family Guy moment 100% seriously and canon and tried to argue Peter is the face of toxic masculinity. That's something you surely can do but you'd look insane in the process. I don't know, I think the writers let their personal politics seep into the show too much.
