Odd movie. You either got great or totally retarded shitty scenes. I often went from, wow I am so intrigued and absorbed into this and the next minute I just wanted to kill the kid, the mom and then myself. And what was that final scene. Felt like I was watching a completely different movie for a minute. Out of place and cringe.

Overall I liked it. More good than bad but the first movie is still the best one by a mile. This franchise is a bit cursed.

The "alpha" stuff is what annoyed me the most. Why didn't they kill him? Tranquilized him twice for nothing. So dumb.

Overall you liked it? That was the worst movie I've seen in decades, literally an insult to all fans.

Alex Garland is the king of mediocrity, you either get amazing scenes or shit that makes no sense, no in between

If this was the worst in decades for you, then you barely watch anything and why are you even on this board

Would have been cooler as purely a coming of age story like it began in the first half.. could have still had the tragic death of mum that caused him to go out and venture on his own or whatever. Having to carry the dead weight mum around felt like it kinda slowed the whole mid section down.

Explain how exactly it "insulted all fans"

they should have just made the entire movie like the Forest, where the kid grows up and you see most of the movie as him as an adult (his dad would be a good cast) and just dealing with zombies and shit and general survival, or even the plot being he got kicked out of his survival camp for cheating or something idk, then his redemption at the end would be him saving someone else.

See, hollywood literally has zero imagination, random anons on this board could write a 10/10 movie.

so he's the exact opposite to the king of mediocrity then. how is he the king of mediocrity if everything he makes is anything but mediocre?
