Just saw Texas Chain Saw in theaters.
I don't care what anyone says, movies are different on the big screen. Mostly better.
Anyways, all I could think about was an image posted here that had a detailed explanation of why this film was deep.
Like a colored chart with pictures, etc.
Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?
If not, what's your favorite part about this film?

>favorite part
The movie is too scary for that but the ending with the sunrise lighting is kino as fuck.

I agree. The chainsaw was loud as hell in theaters during that shot. Jump scared me, lol.

I liked the booty shot when the girls are getting pop at the vending machine.
In all seriousness, my favourite part is when the fat wheelchair guy gets chainsawwed. He’s the most interesting character to me because I’m supposedly watching this super violent slasher, but here is a character who is basically helpless the whole time.
I spent the whole movie waiting for the other shoe to drop and see him get caught by the cannibals. I was not disappointed.

It's surprisingly funny. Franklin is almost the mirror of Leatherface in a sense. A big fat dude who basically gets shit on by everyone around him.
It's no wonder he's the only character who gets taken out by the titular chain saw.

Could this be it?

Also I really liked the first one but the second was bad enough to convince me to give up trying the rest of the series. Did I just get filtered?

YES! That's it. Thanks. I don't much like the second one either. It kind of goes the Gremlins 2 route, which isn't for me.
Especially not after something so noteworthy as the first Texas Chainsaw. For the sequel to be a kind of parody just puts me off.

all the scenes with the old man and the hitchhiker are kino. it's interesting how the 70s were full of those small time actors who were pure kino but you didn't see them again. at least they brought back the old man for part 2.

I had the same reaction the first time I saw TTCM 2, but the movie has grown on me since then.

Definitely. Lots of great performers just pop outta nowhere.
I was kind of reminded of Grey Gardens on this rewatch. Just the ground level dirtiness of it all, handheld camera, and random personalities.
It's like a warped documentary.

Cool! Glad I could help out.

And at least Gremlins 2 is entertaining (I actually like it more than the first). TCM2 felt like a four hour movie, it just dragged on and on... The main girl was hot, something about that southern accent drove me wild.
