You only think this because you never watched Twin Peaks or Beavis and Butthead.

>The snow supposedly slowed his bleeding
>There was a big puddle of blood at the end of New Blood
Major asspull to resurrect him

Dexter is nothing but endless entertaining asspulls.

Maybe it is, but it could be better. I dislike how their rationale for him getting away with everything at the end of New Blood is a combination of asspulls and gaslighting, where we shouldn't believe our lying eyes about what happened there

Should I watch this? I've always avoided the main series because I heard it was one of the worst endings in /tv/ history, but does this continuation retroactively fix that?
I have a soft spot for 2000s procedurals, just binged mentalist last week.

You got to see the original show to watch this. I would recommend watching the first episode, it's right here for free on YT. if you like it, stick with it.

MAYBE DEXTER WAS ALSO MASSAGED BY GHOST MIDGETS

Dexter now has *two* terrible endings which have retroactively been made less bad. Yes you should watch it, but start with either the OG show or Original Sin, don't skip straight to the sequels/revivals

Yes, and because it's a prequel, you can start there without spoiling much from the other shows.
The main draw of Original Sin is that it restores the old formula, so it appeals to those who think New Blood and Resurrection are "not Dexter anymore" because they're not set in Miami

The only thing lacking is the music.

The end of the original series isn't the true ending so you might as well watch it he's in his prime during it.

He generally shows up when Dexter is at a low point after something bad happens and goes off the rails a little.

All three are peak. But Twin Peaks The Return > Dexter Resurrection > The two Beavis and Butthead revivals
