If frodo went alonehe would have succeeded anyway, he didn't need Sam or gollum. His journey was destined by God himself to succeed nothing frodo did could have prevented that.

Frodo could have walked into Mordor and every arrow on his way to mt doom would have missed him.

Why didn't the Fellowship just drag the Ring behind them on a 50 foot chain so it would be too far away to corrupt them?
Also the chain is unbreakable and made of mithril and wrapped around the Ring in such a way that even if it grows or shrinks it won't get free, fuck you.

the midichlorians inside of the One Ring communicated with the midichlorians inside of the heads of sentient beings via ripples of the Force gauge field. no way to block that. they should haven given the Ring to gimli to carry instead of just using him for disability parking.

>If frodo went alonehe would have succeeded anyway
He literally succumbs at the last minute and refuses to destroy the Ring. The ring is destroyed by accident due to Gollum being even greedier than Frodo and greed being his downfall. That's in the books and the movies too.

Retards cannot cope with the fact that this ties in perfectly with the overall moral theme of the books that "Evil destroys itself" which is a catholic moral.

For real.
Saruman is offered a chance to redeem himself. He refuses it, and is left to become a petty tyrant. Overthrown, he's offered a chance to redeem himself, refuses it again and gets killed by the servant he abuses. Evil destroying itself.

Grima wormtongue is offered a chance to redeem himself, he refuses it and sticks with Saruman, only to become poor crippled and abused by his boss. Evil destroys itself.

Sauron was offered the chance to redeem himself back in the First Age, come back to the fold so to speak, he refuses it and his shortsightedness - not even imagining someone wouldn't want the ring, like Sam who carries it for a bit - is his fatal mistake. Evil destroyed by greed, a capital sin.

The orcs? They could redeem themselves, in theory, if they gave up their violent and criminal ways. They don't want to. Evil destroys them.

Minas Tirith isn't really a city, it's a fortress. Hence the huge walls and tiered gates. The architecture alone can withstand massive sieges with a minimal manpower, but even then, Gondor is so beaten at that point that one more siege is all it takes. Osgiliath was the actual civilian Capital City of Gondor, and at the start of LOTR it's a totally assraped ruin that's been demolished and abandoned. p
