when i consumed the harry potter movies i always thought it was kinda a shame how uncreative the spells were.
>spell of u ded
>spell of pain
>other spell of pain
>spell of stun
>spell of levitating
Etc.
Thoughbeit keep in mind its a movie for children - could you come up with some more creative scenarios?

Truly not many more. A fucking DND manual does more creative things with magic than any of the Harry Potter books, which are almost invariably just lazy plot devices to explain whatever the primary mystery of a given novel is. One of the books reveals that magic can be used for time travel and Hermione is just using it to take extra classes and it burns her out and never gets brought up again, as it might allow people to save other's lives as the series gets more violent

It's almost like people forgot J.K. Rowling was a drug-addled pumped-and-dumped single mother who tried to "write a book" with the express purpose of making money.

There is no art. There is no story. She's a fucking moron. She's a failure-to-launch barely literate graduate who stumbled and bumbled her way into writing a kids book.

It's actually kind of insane how many people have insane levels of wealth but they're still total fucking dumbasses.

Harry Potter has some of the worst world-building. Nothing makes sense or is thought out. Every book/film seems to retcon something else.

The one spell I desperately need in my life is the spell of instant bowel emptying. Sure, it would be funny to cast it on someone during a presentation, but imagine:
1. You cast it on yourself before leaving your house, making sure you won't need to shit at McDonald's
2. You cast it before anal sex

I would expect a novelist grappling with the full implications of a world in which you can manipulate reality as effortlessly as waving a wand and saying some words to show a fight between two wizards as more interesting than, "the Good wizards fight with a spell that knocks your wand out of your hand, but the Bad wizards fight with a spell that kills you instantly"
