I rewatched that recently and it was so boring. There is like no life to any of the talking scenes. I felt no emotion during any of the parts in smallville with johnathon kent. The action was too long and I'm just so fucking bored. I didn't give a shit what was happening.

Man of Steel has it's moments but Zack Snyder is so focused on the visuals and the "gods among us" aspect of DC heroes that he forgets that DC is the silly fun comics brand.

MoS killed the DCCU, did incredible damage to both the DC brand and Warner Bros studio

DC had a good name before Snyder. TAS and animated movies, Arkham games, Nolan movies. Warner Bros studio also had a strong reputation at the time

In comparison, leading to Superman. DC has a bad name. Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad games, failed Snyderverse etc. Warner Bros has a bad reputation nowadays too.
