How do you even release something this shit? They can't have thought it would be profitable. Why didn't they just shelf if and write it off? Why didn't the actors sue? I mean if I was like Idris Elba I would not want my name attached to this piece of shit.

Wasn't Taylor Swift in this? How come her cultist fans didn't make it one of the most profitable movies ever for that alone?

Sometimes production is like taking a shit

First starts with eating something you thought might be good, maybe it was uncharted territory or something you thought was same old but wasn't. Then it goes wrong, you can feel it but its already happening, you're stomach is digesting, its running its course. Maybe you take some tums, but sometimes not even that helps. Eventually you get to the point where you gotta just take a dump, even though you know it will suck, you have to. Because not taking a dump is not an option. So you take a terrible shit, then move on to the next one, hoping its not as shit

>They can't have thought it would be profitable.

>As of 2024, Cats remains the fifth-longest-running Broadway show and the eighth-longest-running West End show.
>The London production ran for 21 years and 8,949 performances, while the Broadway production ran for 18 years and 7,485 performances, making Cats the longest-running musical in both theatre districts for a number of years.
why wouldn't they think it would be profitable?

Is there anything actually bad about this film aside from the CGI? Like I'm sure it's not good but this film is placed on all-time lists and the worst of 2019. It's just a generic musical but with bad CGI.

Imagine making a catperson design so revolting, that it doesn't appeal to normal people, or furries.
