You should just watch the best parts on youtube. It's got some great scenes. Then it's got all these scenes of people talking about the economic collapse at the time. And most of those scenes are boring as fuck. Maybe not one. I found one interesting.

Brutal, brilliant film-making. It's an immensely gripping classic. Also, Pitt is terrific in it.

This might come as a shock, but after an actor dies, their films aren't destroyed so they can never be seen again. It's a common misconception.

A movie ruined by its insistence on making an obvious point.

its like this one flick with ethan hawke and PSH, great on the cover but absolutely lame...people in the 2000s had way too much tolerance. Skibidi rizzlers nowadays would just turn it off after 5 minutes

A mess. Really poor casting in the lead and some supporting roles. Moving the material from 70's Boston to random bumfuck Louisiana in 2009. A final monologue that is almost comically on the nose. Pretty good closing line/shot though. Plus side, the photography is incredible (I think it's an early Greig Fraiser film) and some of the supporting cast are really good. You're better off just watching pic rel instead. Same character, better story and film.

It is perhaps the most realistic crime movie because it is boring. All these stupid scumbags and fuckups trying to solve a problem and haggling over peanuts in some poverty stricken corner of the city.
