It's a pretty simple movie. People who get lost in the underground go to spook land. The problem is that the movie makes no sense because of the kid, which means the only way to resolve the movie is that none of it is real.

I feel like the original ending was the kid leaving, and then they tacked on a bizarre resolution for the main character instead that invalidates the rest of the movie. It was almost an okay film, instead it feels masturbatory.
