I watched this yesterday. What did I think about it?

you thought it was okay except for some throwaway gags because it's seth macfarlane's usual shit skits - but you especially hated the buffy bit and nobody around you laughed either

Just ok. The first half is prob the best although he keeps recycling the same joke over and over, making it tiresome and predictable. It was fun in the first time but then it gets annoying. The love videoclip with the snowman was long and unfunny. Second part was meh.
I'm prob being too generous with the ok cuz I think if I watch it again I would change my opinion to worse.

what bothered me is the entire thing is that it's a parody of something old juxtaposed with modern style of police investigation filmmaking, it just feels off. It's like all the elements of speech and mannerism that is parodied and distorted for laughs isn't directly a transformation of modern mannerisms and elements, it's like 2 realities running alongside, hard to describe

You probably think it's a comedy masterpiece.

you watch the first 30min to see if it has the spirit of the original, it got the jokes but not as good as the original. After a while it gets boring.

It's good for what it represents, the plot is a bit under wrought though.
