>Needs well over a billion to break even
>production is running aimlessly like a headless chicken, likely going to be a disjointed mess
>Marvel is on a string of flops, films have no hype behind them, all the movie has going for it is the avengers name and the Fox X-Men
Has there even been a single good piece of information about this movie? It needs a miracle to this movie to break even.

It's fucked. They've literally ignored how badly all the new race swapped muh feminism blactivision characters have done in ratings and at the box office. And they genuinely think creep show Pedro could just be put in as the main character for everything after one film and everyone would clap and talk about how brave they are. I'll bet cash money all the 'member berries Fox X-Men are only there so Fiege can put them as trailer bait before shitting on them and killing them off in seconds in the movie.

It will probably reach a billion, but will still underperform. It's first avengers movie since Endgame

The problem isnโ€™t really โ€œsuperhero fatigue.โ€ The MCU is struggling because its current roster is weak. The biggest names like Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man have already been used, and all the best plots the writers could think of have already been done. On top of that, there is a financial crisis right now.

The two most popular Marvel comics are Spider-Man and X-Men. It's the MCU that warped our perspective of those characters because Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Black Widow were not Marvel A-listers before the MCU, they just made do with that roster because they sold the rights to their hottest properties years before.

X-Men are untouched, Fantastic 4 only just got there and Spider-Man is still available. This alone should be more than enough to work with

Their Spider-Man is a dud and the only real option to replace him is pulling out Miles Morales and that's really unlikely to do better. They managed to kill all the hype for X-Men just by churning out shit for 6 years, nobody is excited to see a new take.

So MCU is cooked because they killed all the goodwill with shitty movies, not because there are no stories and characters left.

The X-Men alone could warrant a decade of content if they played it correctly, but they didn't

They waited too long. They should have gone straight into the mutant stuff after endgame but they arrogantly thought they could spend a decade spinning their wheels with z list characters and people would stay interested.

>forces them to do a hard reboot and start over
That's literally already the plan. Doomsday will have Battle World where Doom combines a bunch of continuities into one planet that he rules over. Secret Wars will have Reed (or someone else) 'fixing' everything at the end and trying to put it all back to normal but inadvertantly causing a hard reboot where they can just start over and recast everyone.

This new MCU will get 1 phase of movies, they'll all flop horribly, and the MCU movies will be put on ice for a while they pump out a bunch of shitty D+ shows and occasionally a good one.

More accurate to say it wasted them. I can't really name you a major character whose MCU version I like more than their comic version. Thor, Hawkeye, Hulk, they're fucking travesties if you compare them to the comics.
As a matter of fact, I'd say that's the biggest problem with the MCU. It doesn't feel like Marvel, it feels like a generic blocbuster media franchise

That was the power of the early MCU. People would throw money at tickets because they trusted that the movies would be fun spectacles even if they weren't familiar with the comics. Increasingly bad effects, writing and agenda driven characters have absolutely decimated that trust and they're not getting it back.

Cap is C tier too, X-Men and Spidey has unlimited reruns of their 90s cartoon series that made them popular/S tier. The Capcom fighting games also started with X-Men before Marvel Super Heroes which is just basically Spidey/Wolverine/Hulk/Ironman/Doom popularity machine, so Ironman Hulk and F4 are A tier from that.

Yeah. There was a reason Marvel killed off the Avengers and FF during Onslaught to reboot them with Heroes Reborn. They brought back guys from Image to boost sales bevause those books were dead. Ironman was so D-list that they had already killed off Tony and replaced him with his teenage self from the past.
Spider-man and X-men, especially Wolverine, were the stars of Marvel Comics in the 90s and 00s. Too bad for Marvel Studios Sony and Fox had those film rights. So they had to pump up the then C-list Avengers for their films. And even then Hulk was in limbo.

I somewhat agree. Kevin is only part of the problem. They need people that actualluly like the comics. At least they got rid of the man hating lesbian exsec.

>Too bad for Marvel Studios Sony and Fox had those film rights.
This also shows who were seen as Marvel's big hitters in the late 90s/early 00s, when Marvel was having a firesale on film rights due to their bad finances they sold Spider-Man, X-Man and Fantastic 4, because those were the ones studios were willing shell out the $$$ for

No one wanted to pay for the opportunity to make an Iron Man or a Thor movie
