Show me where you said he was required to travel until arrival. He follows the wish by traveling for an arbitrary amount of time and since he's not required to actually get to the destination (the wish only states that WHEN he arrives he has to orbit/etc.) he doesn't. there's almost no 'good' wish for wishmaster if only because you literally go to to demon hell the second you wish for something. in the first movie, i guess the last wish undoes her selling her soul by undoing the past and undoing her wish(?) even though she technically got her wish granted and therefore sold her soul in perpetuity (i guess its only forward perpetuity?) which is confusing.

He's not directly injuring you so while it's violating the spirit of the agreement the actual wording isn't being broken. the problem with that wish is he can still twist things like allow you to be a situation where your harm yourself. i.e., he could do things that 'benefit' you but result in you fucking your life over, like giving you riches or fame using his knowledge of the future to put you in a place where you OD on drugs or get robbed and murdered or something -- the he doesn't directly harm you, his original and sole action benefits you, he just knows eventually in that path you will get fucked -- after all, he can't be held responsible for every good or bad thing that happens to you in your life that results from a single interaction.

as for the hell thing, hell is a djinni realm. you can still go to hell and suffer. he is a separate entity from the realm itself, its not his action or inaction that cause you to go to hell or burn. its your action, your wish that seals your soul magically, and its hell that burns you. by the time you've wished, that's already done and gone, and he can fully let you eventually die and go to hell knowing neither his action or inaction caused this, since you wished.

as long as the djinni has the nature to hurt you, he has a lot of ways to do so.

i think again the only move is not to wish, but if i had to wish i would try to make a wish to change his nature, and the nature of djinni hell. i would try to wish for him and all djinn to switch sides and become allies of god (in the movie they are anti-god) and have their personalities switched so they love and care for humans for now on, and that djinni hell becomes a branch of heaven and a paradise for humans.
