Why didn't Light write all the task force and SPK names he knew in preparation for the final showdown with Near?
It was already established with the way Light killed the FBI agents that the Death Note can be used conditionally (i.e. FBI agents die after receiving the email file) not just based on time.
Light wrote that the bus jacker would die after seeing Ryuk.
In both cases, Light did not have an exact time written for the death since he could not have known the time it would take to convince Ray to give him his FBI ID (for the busjacking) or to threaten Ray into writing the name of his superior (for killing the FBI agents).
Light could have written a conditional note such as "all these people die when they hear the phrase 'I am Kira'". That way, even if Mikami failed, Light still had a way of killing everyone except Near. At this point, Light could have just asked Mikami to bring a gun and/or Light could have stolen a gun from the fallen task force members and finished Near off.
"[insert all task force and SPK member names here] attend the meeting at the warehouse showing no outwards signs of being controlled. They hear the phrase 'I am Kira', toss their weapons in the direction of the speaker and die of a heart attack."
Am I missing something here or would this have been an easy way for Light to ensure his victory even if Mikami failed?
