remember how back in 2011-2014 movies like harry potter, hunger games and twilight got their last movie split into 2?

while i didn't like this that much i think TDKR was the one that needed this the most

everything happens so quickly, bane's takeover gotham, how the poor rebels against the rich, bruce's spine rehabilitation, his journey back to gotham and infiltration and so on

Nolan didn’t want to make this any way, so it would have gotten more boring.

I know I'm in the minority but I really don't like the Christopher Nolan batman movies. I just feel they're overrated

Should have just copied Knightfall. Bane fucks up Batman, everyone escapes from Arkham Asylum and new more brutal guy takes over as Batman.
Movie would have been fine if the faggot playing Bane wasn't doing a retard voice.

My only beef was the final fight scene.
He underwent so much spiritual growth. He had "a plan" for fighting Bane the second time.
Turns out the secret to beating Bane was just: hit him a little better I guess. Very uninspired.

Honestly, I agree. I know when TDKR came out, at least amongst my friend’s group, they blasted it. They picked it apart mercilessly.

The film had the immeasurable task of competing with The Dark Knight and there was A LOT of criticism surrounding the choice of Bane, (and also his voice), lol.

I enjoyed it from the start. I thought Bane was an excellent choice, especially with not being able to bring back Joker in a fashion I am sure Nolan and fans would have preferred.

The final act is really messy. Bruce recovering from a broken back, getting exposition dumped by a ghost, and teleporting back to Gotham is all really lazy - and deciding to spend time doing arts and crafts on the bridge when there's a literal ticking clock is frustrating.

This isn't true, I always assumed that he lost the will to do a third one after Ledger died but he was under contract for a trilogy so he just churned out this half baked mess.

But he was under no obligation to do it, he only confirmed his involvement in 2010 when he had a script he was happy with.

Bane in general sucks ass.
>He’s a dumb manlet that turned out to be a stooge for Talia and went out like a bitch instead
>We can make a man running around with half his skull exposed, but making bane a 7 foot something roided out junkie is a step too far

I remember being confused that 5 months passed between Bane taking over Gotham and Batman’s return. I think it’s because they embed the passage of time in the dialogue as opposed to having a piece of text on screen.

The audio mixing on Bane’s voice was terrible

I haven’t seen anyone mention the dumbest part of the movie. When John Blake figures out Bruce is Batman because he saw a look in his eyes. Like what?

The big problem structure wise is that Bruce stops being Batman twice (at the start from a 8 year timeskip from TDK and when Big Guy breaks his back).
Should just have him still active as Batman, but acting in the shadows as he's being hunted by the police.

>did you come back to die with your city
>no i came back for you
this line change would have brought the movie full circle

this. he half-assed it. 'TDKR' was a title that came up on reddit first, of all places.
then I remember him changing the VO of Bane because burger audiences didn't understand him in the first teaser. there was a bunch of other shit, like the poster material even being a very lazy piece of art
he didn't want to make this one and it oozed in the entire project

It’s the “worst” of the dark knight trilogy and I think the only reason it gets hate is because BB and TDK are just so good!!! But inside of a vaccum TDKR is fucking awesome!!! It gets too much hate.
