I really like her character. She can actually come off as creepy and weird instead of it simply being something that is told us by the characters. She actually has a reason to obssess over a girl instead of it simply being a plot point that has to be present. And I really like how it's clearly shown that Michiru absolutely HAD the potential to go full violent psycho (both because of her inherent weirdness and her sister's rather questionable attempts at keeping her safe), but it didn't get that far, instead of her already being stab happy schizo who immediately devolves into a harmless comedic relief because reasons.
Also it's kinda neat that she's sometimes drawn somewhat simiilar to a spirit and not a normal human, with blank facial expression and creepy wide-open eyes.

I don't think she's going to die but if she does it would give me flashbacks to how liar satsuki treated its only openly lesbian character and definitely dampen my interest in the series. Honestly even the idea of losing Pii-chan is pretty rough as that's been a huge part of her characterization and I can't see a strong direction for her character without the amazing gimmick of extra spectral arms that communicate her feelings. the difference is that the story is making an effort to value her perspective with regards to her romantic interest unlike with the typical "crazy lesbian" character. The author has created a series of supernatural events that work pretty successfully in the story to justify Michiru interpreting Miko's interaction with her as romantic interest while Miko being so focused on the supernatural leaves her oblivious. Kuroko jumping Misaka is a joke in the narrative, Michiru is a comedic character herself but the narrative here has a lot more empathy for her. I appreciate it for this.

I feel that the manga has a central theme of creating empathy in it's audience for characters that appear initially sinister or fraudulent, with Zen as the exemplar case, but touching most side characters in some way or another. I feel this theme has included the 'physcho lesbian' trope and rehabilitated it somewhat, resulting in Michiru being more than a punchline as a character. Mikoto, the eldest daughter, is Michiru 2.0, and she has the same obsessive crush on Miko as her mother. And yes, that does include fucking Miko, a bunch of stories are Mikoto's plans to bed Miko just to get interrupted at the last moment by Ruri, the middle kid.

Ruri is the most normal of the kids, a classic tomboy who is a star athlete and often the voice of reason. But as more stories got posted, is revealed she has a strong crush on her big sister, Mikoto.

And finally Rin, the youngest kid. She's the least developed of the kids, being just a quirky cat lover and pampered by everyone, she doesn't seem to have any incestous urges (yet) and is the only one that actually likes Michiru more than Miko.

Miko is more or less the same, just more focused on her kids, although she's as much of a horndog as Michiru, and they often go at it without realizing Mikoto is watching them.
