Call it a lack of fresh ideas, perhaps a need for cheap money but; good or bad, it is happening.

So with all that said, which Yuri Classic you think should be getting a remake?

I’ve noticed it fairly often that characters that are not tomboyish neither by personality nor tastes are still presented as such by the author. Not a single thing about Shizuma screams tomboyish to me, i think Kase-san should be a fair comparison.

On one hand the old anime is fine as it is and still holds up, so I dislike remaking it. But on the other hand the manga moved in a rather different direction before it got hiatused forever, including introducing a new main character right before it cuts off. So I would rather see a straightforward adaption of the manga, followed by a conclusion based on the direction we got.
Alternatively, adapt the novel, IIRC Shizuma slept with everyone there.

I would prefer spiritual successors instead, the originals were perfect as is and don't need remakes. Many people didn't like Madlax (I rewatched it recently and while I liked it I also admit that it was the weakest of the Girls with Guns trilogy) because of that reason, it felt like it was originally supposed to be a sequel to Noir which wasn't needed.

Spica girls in general are in a much better situation than Miator girls. In book 3 page 571 it's also made clear that she is the only legitimate child, that her mother (who is the one from the rich family) hates men, that Yaya is going to inherit everything and can do what she wants. Yaya is also the only character that gets the confirmation that she'll be a lesbian for the rest of her life.

So yes, Yaya won

Both, preferably. But you know how bad the first season was and how badly it did, they'd need to show that they are serious about making a good anime production.
Though of course it was clearly just to advertise the manga, which has ended so there's no hope either way.

I did think about this, but like half the girls became men, and the production quality was fine already anyway.
It could use a alt-universe spinoff like the manga, but it's still awkward how half the girls transition into men[/spoilers] in the original.
