Madoka is a multimedia franchise made by a company, it's not a passion project made by a single person, many people work on this (it came out with a manga at the same time as the first anime) they all got into this to make money and since it worked out well for them, that's why you have new products to get more money, including the continuity of the movies, also don't pretend that Doujins are not made to make money either.
