The rose animation was the only thing that was changed, everything else about the scene that was mentioned is still the same.
>Also telling someone to put a ring on, or riding a ferris wheel isn't sexual in the slightest.Okay, coercion in the context of forcing the semblance of a romantic relationship. Is that a better way of putting it?
Both the ring and the Ferris wheel have specifically romantic connotations in the game.
>This all seems like conflating sexual abuse with emotional abuse. One doesn't always lead to the other, either.Well, I would say that sexual abuse is inherently emotional abuse, but that's besides the point.
Your claim was that the chapter 4 scene wasn't an *allegory* for rape, whether or not literal rape occurred isn't what's being debated.
So I have to ask you; Given the context of the rest of the route leading up to it, and the framing, imagery and tropes used in the scene, do you really think ALL of that was a coincidence?
Do you really think they'd put in a scene that for all practical purposes plays out like the start of a stereotypical rape scene if the point of the route was to allude to ONLY emotional abuse?
