I'm continuing (writing, deleting, writing, deleting) my planned series about two lesbian witches (one gentry, one peasantry) exploring the countryside to explore and document various magic-related stuff like monsters, phenomena, and folklore. General inspiration for tone and content is The Witcher, but more about studying than killing. The current plan is for it to be a series of connected short stories that gradually build an over arching plotline.

Do you mean you are getting nice values in your sketch but then are worried about being able to duplicate that with a different brush when painting over it? You could always just do value entirely without the color and then glaze the color on top in some sort of blending mode like multiply or (if you are a masochist) doing every individual colored region as a gradient map.

Let me say that I draw very badly and I don't exactly write better. Oh, and I am not unaware about this being cliche and all.
So, my idea is simple. Two orphan girls, 15 and 17, attend the same school and notice both have meme-gigantic boobs. I mean, no one comes close at school, even teachers. They are very alike and decide to investigate where they come from, and find out that they are sisters. I don't really know how to make this, I am certain the older sister lives alone but I don't know how to organically make them team-up besides "Oppai rangers, assemble!". Plus I want it to happen in japan due autism but I don't know about adoption laws in glorious nihon-go.
Anyway, the next step would be having the younger sibling moving out with the other, and that's where things get freaky, I am thinking about both girls being very ladylike but with different hobbies (Mahjong, cosplay, the stuff), but since they haven't really grown up together they haven't developed the Westermarck effect, and they are in this conjuncture about really being into each other but knowing it's taboo, but on the other hand are they really sisters just because genetics say so? I was planning on adding trauma about past relationships and perhaps more characters like a friend of the youngest or a room mate of the eldest, but I don't think I have the ability to flesh out those characters without losing myself into them.
And after that I don't know. Maybe the mother suddenly is alive and they find her, and has a good reason for having left them, and they get along but now they can't tell their mother that they are girlfriends instead of sisters. Obviously the mom has even bigger breasts because, genetics, and pregnancy, and milk, and stuff. I was thinking maybe adding an aunt and the girls finding out the mom has the same relationship with the aunt, only that even more twisted because they actually grew up together. Idk.
So yeah, I am a mess. A horny mess at that.

That's just making them the main couple.
Anonymous No.4449775

The way I like to do it is have the side could actually be side couples. The development of their relationship is shown through the perspective of the main character. The reader might not get the full picture of their relationship, and indeed, the relationship of the side could maybe not even be completely codified through the course of the main story, but that's okay because it's not their story. They exist as their own story that is taking place separately but simultaneously with the main couple.

>Lightly apply a darker shade on the edges of the skin
I don't know what's this for but JP anime artists do this. It adds a 3d feel I guess
>Color the line art

If you're drawing skin touching try erasing the lineart on the points of contact

>I don't know what's this for
It's because the distribution and visibility of blood is not even throughout the body. There are places with more or fewer blood vessels, and places where the skin/fat obscures those vessels more or less. This creates places where the skin is more pink or less pink (the cheeks, fingertips, breasts, etc) . There are also places where the skin tends to be more blue/cool and places where it tends to be more yellow.

I think the deliberate complexity of the story makes it quite difficult to summarize, so I apologize if it seems confusing. I am working on writing a book that would be the third volume of a four-volume saga (although they all share certain elements of the same plot, they can all be read independently). The novel would tell the story of Ravenna (the protagonist, and this is probably a nickname) who has a kind of superpower (not to say a blessing or a curse, but keep in mind that it's something passive and uncontrollable) which, to put it simply, makes almost everyone fall in love with her. As a result, she has never had a normal relationship with most people, which makes her a character who doesn't talk much without actually being shy. At this point, she would be in high school and would have found a male friend who, for once, doesn't seem to be affected by this. One day, upon arriving at this high school, a day like any other, it turns out that it is in an almost post-apocalyptic state, with the walls, floor, ceiling, and just about everything else completely destroyed, nature having reclaimed its rights as if the interior of the building had not been maintained for decades.
Anyway, in the story, she gradually develops a crush on a girl named Harper, who, as we understand, comes from an obscenely wealthy family. You'll understand that Ravenna has no trouble making her fall in love with her, the tension being more about the cliché that they're not sure of their feelings, which quickly ends up only concerning Ravenna. (1/2)

One of the main features of the story is that it is divided into two parts. The first part is essentially the deliberately stereotypical romance I just mentioned, with a kind of teenage investigation into events that seem supernatural; but it also includes the notes of a scientist who studies things that seem to have nothing to do with science, to the point where one wonders if she isn't just schizophrenic.
The second part is much more serious, with weird metaphysical concepts introducing deep philosophical ideas that tie in with the main plot, which is the idea that if it is possible to artificially create worlds that obey the same rules as ours, then the number of alternative realities, sub-realities, and super-realities would always tend towards infinity. But I won't say any more about it to avoid having my idea stolen lol.
All this to say that there will be a lesbian romance in the Type 1 autism quadrilogy. And if you have any ideas for a real name for Ravenna, I'm all ears.

Both thank you and sorry . In any case, even if I wanted to, I couldn't summarize it well enough for it to be plagiarized (tw: absolutely nothing to do with yuri anymore). For what little more I could say, let's just say that the first volume is an introduction to the concept of general suppression of consciousness, which is described as an automatic phenomenon of civilizations (to summarize, imagine a world where technology is so ubiquitous that we end up using neuralink chips to suppress our consciousness). The second volume develops the concept of universe simulations with a pure science fiction novel relatively inspired by Dune and the real science of our world. The story ends with the plot twist that the world of this novel is a simulation created in the world of the first volume, then with the double plot twist that the world of the first volume is itself a simulation and that we could go back like this for an unimaginable amount of time. The story ends definitively with the cliffhanger that the civilization that created the world of the first volume has created other worlds (again, an incalculable number) that are directly connected. I mentioned the third volume, which in the second part talks about alternative realities, and we learn that the specific world of Ravenna is one of the few that has managed to develop a civilization without loss of consciousness thanks to a very specific technique. I don't have many ideas for the very last one (at that point it will be such a mess that I think I'll have to take DMT to come up with interesting ideas lol), but it will surely be some kind of multiverse war between entities (who want to stop the cycle) and objects (programmed to continue it).

>Kara?>
Kara could be a good choice, because there are no particular reasons why there should be any Anglo-Saxon influences. I'll keep that in mind.

Sorry for the fact that my summary is poorly written, but the explanation is very simple: English is not my first language, and a large part of what I sent was just translated with Deepl. Plus, I was a little tired when I wrote it, so it was never meant to be of high quality. But believe it or not, writing is my only real talent.
The story may also seem excruciatingly complex, but in fact what I sent is literally the weirdest part of the story and the one I'm most likely to change in the future. If you thought that was the most important part of it, you're wrong. In fact, most of my stories are more experimental thrillers than highly philosophical psychedelic novels.

The big breakout lesbian novel series of recent memory was about space necromancers. The biggest animated F/F-relevant series for western viewers in recent memory are a steampunk show about class warfare or some shit. Who are these "only read about high school idols and office works people" you are complaining about? The Korean-speaking webcomic audience? Even they have random weird shit that does well. People read all sorts of stuff. You don't need to write about high schoolers and OLs, you just have to write something decent and interesting.

Blaming a lack of interest in your work on what a general audience will engage with is nonproductive, bordering on childish. If you like the thing, keep writing it, improve it, and people will come. You are not some magical special unique bean. There are plenty of other people who like the same sort of things you like.

You more or less use toning exactly like shading or coloring. Filling an area with it to give the impression that it is darker or using it as a non-black shadow. How exactly it is used varies wildly by individual artist, just like anything else. You're probably best of finding an author who you makes you think "wow, I really like the way the 'greys' and shading look in this manga" and then looking closely at that artist's work to see where they are applying tones, how they are erasing away from them to make highlights, how they are combining multiple layers of toning to darken bits, how dark the tones they use are (this comes down to frequency and size of dots), etc.

It isn't. Yes, generic settings make up the majority of things as a volume, this is always going to be the case in any sort of media, most photographs are just standard people or places, that doesn't translate to "people only care about photos of people or landscapes". Having nothing to do with high schoolers or idols didn't stop ADA from being big despite Hush's chronic issues with motivation. Being fairly out there didn't hasn't hampered Gunnerkrigg Court or Ava's Demon. Being weird fetish softcore porn didn't hold back Sunstone.

People will read anything, you just have to put in the work. There has to be a reason to read it. It doesn't even need to meet some quality threshold, it can just be sheer volume and consistency, as with shit like Questionable Content.

But you can't expect engagement to just drop into your lap out of nowhere.

>She might get lucky but I think she's just going to stand there for some time, ignore the obvious flirting, never talk to anyone, and go home.
I'm more skeptical about le weeb maido outfit being a right choice for a lesbian bar. Perhaps she'd need to tone her weebness down if she doesn't want to alienate a big chunk of the dating pool, unless she's looking specifically for a weeb gf then whatever, I guess. I sure as hell wouldn't date a weeb.

Hell nah, I’m very forward. This costume is mostly for irony and fun anyway. Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut, and I’m going for chronically online girls

Then you better look for them at anime conventions, not lesbian bars. Also what >>4464346 said.

Fair enough, but my friend went to that lesbian bar, hit it off with a girl who kept begging to take her home, and both are shut-in gamers and engaged now. Lord, I’ve seen what you do for others…

Unreal. This is like a fairy tale. But fine I will pray for you to get a nice gf that'll give you the love you deserve and appreciates the hard work you put into your clothes.

Here’s my latest idea then, free of blogposting
>college-based VN, island Yuri paradise boarding school type deal for kids of the fabulously wealthy
>campus is hilariously degenerate. Public nudity and sex treated as totally normal up to and including in the middle of class and exams, clubs and sororities are just excuses to have wild parties and orgies. The staff joins in in much subtler ways and doesn’t discourage any of it.
>the player character isn’t a blank slate newbie type, instead her roomie is. Early game worldbuilds through the player character teaching the roommate about how everything works.
>roomie at first is like “well damn ain’t this at least a little fucked up?” but the player tells her it’s totally normal
>after that conversation, the player character starts to realize that maybe this isn’t normal.
>from there, the game either lets you dive deeper and deeper into the pure degeneracy of the island or see it for what it is and engage with romance/sex in a much healthier way, or potentially not at all given the choices made
>you can either lead the roommate into constant orgies and parties or you can teach her more stable ways of girl-lovin. Up to you

I was going to leave this part out, but I’m intending it to be a critique of the immensely horny stuff. It’s also a critique of much more than that but I’m not trying to engage in those kind of debates with /u/. The idea is that the game will showcase a “yuri paradise” but argue that such a paradise is not worth living in through various means. It will be brutally horny, yes, but not in a self-indulgent manner like it very easily could be

Are you fucked in the head or what? All you are actually saying with this half-assed "commentary" is that a slut paradise is shit, because you feel like promicuity = bad. You are so brave.
But by retardedly blaming this on the "yuri" paradise", you halfwittedly just make it sound like you need hetshit or other sexualities to make something worthwhile, maybe because you are too stupid to realize that yuri =/= porn, you hornybrained buffoon?
