I gotta be honest, as much as I tend to see people hate on Mai, Satsuki seems like way more of a red flag to me. At least Mai expresses her affection through affection, rather than competitiveness verging on vindictiveness. Maybe I'm just fundamentally misreading her character or something, but at least when Mai goes too far she actually apologizes for it, Satsuki meanwhile intentionally manipulates a third party to try to inflict emotional damage to Mai settle a score that she one-sidedly decided to track, and never even seems to regret it. If the relationship dynamic you're enforcing is stressing you out, maybe just stop enforcing it?
