Well i have no issues with the school plot, it's typical overplayed HS shits but they have been here even at the start of the manga (it all started with the eraser stuff), my main issue is how disconnected Kurumi and Naoi since Kudou appeared. As long as you're not just inputting the raw text into LLMs, taking what they say for granted and then putting it in without a second thought, I think it's fine. Like double checking the meanings of words with a dictionary, rephrasing the English to sound more natural, ensuring it's all conveying the meaning properly is a long way from just using Google Translate. That said, most people don't put that much effort into it and would rather just skip all those steps.

I would do all 3. It takes seconds for a LLM to give you a passable enough base script, it takes a few more seconds to paste on a generic translator like GoogleTL, that, some double checking of tenses, plus the fact you can see drawn context while the LLM/GoogleTL can't should be enough for anything but a heavy complex plot series.
I mean it is more effort but not that much more than the basic checks you should do to at least not have a yuri manga filled with male pronouns as it's the default they shit out.
Not to say Typesetting is a pain anyway from what I gather. What's a few more minutes.

Cleaning, yes. Kinda. PanelCleaner is good at cleaning bubbles and does a passable enough job at cleaning out of bubble text and filling the background properly. It's far from perfect and requires heavy supervision to see it didn't erase parts of the background it took for text, and sometimes, but it's better than nothing.
To my knowledge there is nothing yet for typesetting, not even for the barest minimum, which would be I feed it a translated final script and it places it automagically on the correct bubbles. Let alone correct for fonts, text size, etc. The most there is is Typertools, which is just text input, and all the rest of the job is manual.
I would love to be proven wrong as typesetting sucks so much it's not even funny.

Though to clarify, as a layman, when I say cleaning/typesetting, I specifically mean that thing where you remove text that aren't nicely contained in a text bubble and then need to make it look all nice and shit.

PanelCleaner is not really shit. For out of bubble text with an uniform enough background, and even some gradients and textures it does a good enough job that I have almost missed some on my first typesetting run.
Yes, it does fuck up sometimes but more often than not the fuckup will be visible enough if you turn out the base image layer, or it will simply ignore it if it thinks it can't do it, so you either redraw it you're self, put the text by it if it's a SFX, or simply do nothing.
Noone is going to cry that a フ... is still there, right on top of a complex twirl of hair it would take you the time you take to typeset 3 pages to fix. I wish groups didn't waste so much time on that shit. Leave that to the official releases who to my knowledge get the base layered files anyway so they don't even need to redraw.
