Yuru Camp had a very good first season, it played like a girl meets girl story, and was obviously planned as standalone, but it turned out to be successful so from S2 onwards they brought it back in line with the source material, which isn't yuri, and even made an original future movie that pretty much retroactively nullifies any romantic interpretations in past and future seasons, so now it's just a corpse yuri wise.
Ruri has in common with it that the anime played up the relationship between the main characters compared to the manga, but I doubt it's getting any more seasons, so it's probably going to age better.
If we're comparing the yuri subtext in first seasons only though, they're probably even overall, Ruri has higher highs but also lower lows, Yuru is more consistent but never peaks as much.

NTA, I don't think mangaka themselves write with this mindset, but lots of magazines which publish yuri do in fact have overwhelming male demographics, including Yuri Hime, only very few yuri works are published in shoujo and josei magazines and some of those have very questionable content too.

Target demographic and actual demographic are two separate things. Guess the target demographic for Precure, and then look at the actual demographic. Yuri hime even had a spinoff magazine targeted specifically towards guys, but it just got merged with regular yuri hime because no one actually cared about the target demographic

That's the only objectively correct way to think about scanlations.
Even if only 1 non-Japanese person buys the JP volumes now because of noighd, that's a sale they wouldn't have made otherwise.
