I have been too busy with the game recommendation list to add any mods or TLs and as no other anon added anything this is the first thread with nothing to report. As for said rec list, I'm about 80% done. After I finish this task I'll be taking a long break for sure...
Had to delete Assault Lily because of EOS and Princess Maker because it seems to be going to hell. Replaced those two with Maryskelter 2 and Rimworld.

Really? Could you elaborate on how far that yuri actually goes?

I played Disaster Report 4 and people said it had yuri, but it was something very surface barely acknowledged and romance didn't actually end up going anywhere. Didn't help that the game's performance was so bad that it kept crashing endlessly and I had to rush it...

On the other hand that kaiju monster escape game by the Disaster Report devs actually did have a yuri romance option. Seems these devs have a thing for yuri, even if they aren't the most adept at integrating it.

Well for now I tested it out on PPSSPP and it works just fine. The translation seems decent enough. I really only played for half an hour to test it, but the few dialogue choices I got here already show off one of those things I disliked about 2000s gender select for protags. The female option has to be super over the top stereotypical who always cares about her weight and constantly has the option to talk about how much she wants to find a man, just so you can feel the difference between the male and female protagonist.
Then again, you can choose not to pick those options and there are some neutral ones so that's fine. Unlike DR4 this female protag is fully voiced and seems to have a backstory. And dialogue is already way more involved.

Finding anyone playing as female protag is really damn hard for some reason, but from what I looked up the story plays out the same and you still get close to the female characters, so I guess anon was right. I'm going to add it to the list then.

I'm basically done with the base game content of P5R and next is gonna be the Royal additional content. But I wanted to talk about some of the cool changes the mod made, this time with plot spoilers.

First though, it's interesting that the writer kept the Ohya Confidant basically the same with her forcing you to pretend to be dating her to get her boss off her back. Of course adjusted to Kasumi, but still. Makoto's pretend couple plotline was turned into cousins instead after all.
Secondly they made a unique rat transformation for Kasumi. Cute.

Now for the plot. I said it before but I think Kasumi being sued by Shido is way more effective than when it happens to Joker. Yes, being sued and getting a criminal record and being rejected by your family sucks either way, but for Kasumi her gymnast career was ruined with false cheating charges because Shido had to go a step further. The way the mod integrates this idea is so amazing. Shido actually brings up how she cried during the trial... of course she did. It was her and Sumire's dream to become pro-gymnasts together and this man destroyed her dream casually just because she did the right thing. Sumire still believes in that dream and you can really sense Kasumi's resentment for Shido way more than Joker's. This time she isn't going to cry. I absolutely love that.
Then there is the part in December where the protagonist has to disguise because they are considered dead. Joker just put on a hood and that was that. But Kasumi? She dresses up as Sumire, her identical twin who obviously can still roam the city freely. And it was Sumire's idea too! That is such a smart way to do it and feels way more justified! How is this mod fixing the game so hard?

The rest of the "final" arc was pretty similar. I'm glad to finally have Lavenza back. Hopefully I get the special exchange about her having a crush on Kasumi for doing the twin lolis entire questline...

No no, I don't need spoilers, I just wanted a proper confirmation of the yuri content. But like I said, I already added the fan TL to the list after scrolling through some longplays of the game.

Indeed. I think it's actually a really good designs. If nothing else Persona usually wins on the style front.
>Are you romancing every girl
Only romancing Makoto on this playthrough. The consequences for cheating are not pretty!
Well a lot of the interactions with the potential love interests are still very flirty if you rank them up high enough, but as long as you avoid confessing your love to them you're safe.
The Ohya parts are like I said, just an act for her boss. But you can romance her for real if you get far enough. Except in this mod adult romances aren't supported, so I wouldn't.

Anonymous No.4481122 >>4481131
>>4481121
From what little I know of the context this mod is based on another older rewrite by someone who didn't like the adult romances, so when starting this new mod that sort of stuck at first (evident as originally this mod had a dependency for a mod that straight up deleted the adult romances from the game completely). Apparently the new modder doesn't have quite the same negative attitude as they got convinced to get rid of the restriction and just added a warning about them not being supported. In the actual summary and comments they talked about not really having a good idea on how to implement the adult romances, except for maybe Chihaya.

So I think this is a creative issue mostly. And that's why I'm considering to do it myself, because writing is easy for me. Coding... not so much.

But Persona 5 seems to be a different beast.

Writing. I thought that would be obvious from what I already said. They already coded everything else, so this wouldn't be any different. It is a lot of work regardless.

I like my janky RPGs, so I checked it out. The game allows you to be "irresistible to women," which seems to bypass the usual sexuality locks, allowing you to start romances with both backstory female party members, one turning into the big bad evil vampire. That should be promising, but the writing screams AI-generated slop, with everything being in shitty purple prose even if the dev claims he only used editing tools. Not exactly willing to experience it further.

Some writers just use purple prose anon. This was a thing long before generative software ever existed.
But I wouldn't be surprised either if this was edited generated prompt text either. One guy making a game this huge with enough text for two novels is not exactly easy to believe unless he is just a total work machine. On the other hand, the game was in EA for 3 years.

I can't deny that VNs have certain advantages that make them more enjoyable than plain old novels. Writing can be equally good in both, but only one features art, music and (occasionally) voice acting.

Still if you ever want some recommendations for yuri novels, just ask me here. As I think the LN thread is no longer there and the general is a certified shithole, you'd only have the /lit/ thread, which isn't exactly ideal.

Technically yes, but only because they finished the cover art. The 1.0 was done half a year ago. They didn't do most of the rewrites yet. Like the most recent update added changes for the FIRST Elizabeth hangout.
In essence this mod right now changes:
-Models (school, casual, yukata etc.)
-animations
-menus
-Kotone's combat and general voicelines
-room location
-room decoration
-very minor sporadic interactions rewritten
-a bunch of choices are adjusted to femC
-some early social links rewritten and voice acting adjusted
-the hot springs scenes on the school trip are now replaced with the female version (quite impressive)
-Theo has been almost completely integrated into the game (but nobody here gives a shit about him. He just replaces Elizabeth)

Other than that, about a hundred different versions for all the visual changes. The mod clearly has too many artists, but not enough people who can sentence mix and code events, so progress is a bit slow on those.

Sometimes they are voiced i dont remember if all of them are but i think so, there has been quite a few updates to make a game better and add more voice acting.

At some point when you reach like act 3 or so you get asked to chose one romance option from the ones you romanced with if at all.
You get some unique dialogue with chosen companion when talking to them and maybe even a unique quest.

>absolute moron waffles on about how he isn't allowed to "have a spine" while whining like a snowflake about how some party members were mean to him
You really don't see the irony, do you? Also you absolutely have all the control. You can talk back, you can throw them out of the party, you can even kill all of them. If the fact that someone vocally disagrees with your actions or has their own moral compass that doesn't align with yours pisses you off so much you can throw a tantrum and make them go away.

It's just amazing that out of all the possible examples of someone acting reprehnsibly enough to annoy Mr. Snowflake, you pick Shadowheart in Act 2... who does a whole lot of nothing to be upset about beyond MAYBE how she handles the Nightsong situation, which you can ACTIVELY influence. And at worst she is conflicted about your stance and might act a bit tense. Where did she hurt your little feelings?

Meanwhile Minthara, actual mass murderer and openly evil, who will tell you every single halfway decent thing you do is weak or pathetic or a detriment to the cause... that's fine. Sounds to me, like someone is lying about their reasoning and you just find Minthara hot.

Oh, come on. Shadowheart is bratty bottom with a capital B. She's got an attitude, which only a blind and deaf person can deny.
It's just in Act 2 it becomes a bit... much.

And the doormat thing definitely is a thing in a lot of RPGs. Sure, on paper you can disagree with them and stand up for yourself, but in most cases that results in your approval plummeting and ending any chances of friendship or romance with them.
And i'm talking about RPGs in general, not BG3 specifically. To it's credit, it's not the worst offender, but it still has it to a degree.
Anonymous No.4482279 >>4482281

I played through the game three times and the only time Shadowheart acted miffy in Act 2 was when I had low approval with her from act 1 and didn't take her along in my party at all until she forced herself into the Gauntlet of Shar.
So my guess is you just did everything to piss her off act surprised that she is not nice to you.
I just don't see what you are whining about, especially comparing it with Minthara who you apparently give a total free pass on all her sass. Assuming you don't act like a murderhobo every single playthrough and that's why you get along with her.
>if I disagree with these characters because I don't like what they do or think they don't want to smooch me
No, really? Is it possible that maybe... you are not compatible with every single person in the universe? I don't understand why you want to romance them in the first place if you disagree with everything they say enough to get on their bad side. And you apparently mistake being diplomatic or not an asshole with "not having a spine". The irony.
You specifically brought this whole doormat thing up in relation to BG3 and then switched your argument to RPGs in general. But BG3 doesn't have this issue at all. There are consequences for your actions, which means that if you butt heads with everyone, everyone will be annoyed by you. That's natural.

If anything, BG3 suffers from companions being too easy to please. They approve way too often and disapprove very rarely. That is what people actually complain about when they want the companions to be as "mean" as they were in the EA. You barely have to do anything for everyone to like you and you don't have to act like doormat either. Your issue is like the opposite of what 99% of the community feels about the game, so do you understand how you come off as the snowflake here?

Thanks to mods we now got Liara, Ashley (LE1/2) Tali, Miranda, Jack, Samara/Morinth(LE2), Kelly and Traynor for femShep. Guess there is also the "romance" with Diana Allers/Emily Wong(mod) in LE3 if you wanna count that.

No idea who she is supposed to be if she is a celeb. The idea of having a reporter on the Normandy who actually makes some propaganda pieces to give hope to the galaxy (or tells the cold hard facts of the war if you go renegade) would be neat, but that's not really what they ended up doing. Doing her questline just gives you a minor boost to galactic readiness.
I also wonder what the celeb she is based on felt about being available for a one-night stand... Either way it's wasted potential and I get why someone wanted to replace her with Emily Wong who at least is a memorable character that has some presence in the trilogy.

Yes, on its own as an ideology. But it could be good when utillised as a story element or a character trait as part of a larger whole. That's like saying that violence is bad, therefor we shouldn't have any depiction of violence in vidya.

Ashley's "xenophobia" has been overblown anyway. In ME1 she offered a reasonable view considering the in-universe situation where humanity was the newcomer on the galactic stage and FCW&Shanxi had had intimate and personal ramifications for her and her name throughout her whole life. By ME3 this had been largely dropped in favor of a more simplistic speciest issue of human supremacy.

Reminder how ME3 characterises SA as a sleeping giant only held back by low mobilisation levels and spending, while ME1 stressed that humans were clearly aware of being outclassed in every aspect (except nascent expansionism).

Humanity is still vastly outclassed by ME3. The only human force who is actually dangerous is Cerberus, who have gotten their hands on a bunch of powerful artifats and have been doing illegal research into true AI behind the scenes while making massive bank on all kinds of criminal enterprises.
Hell in ME2 human colonies were massively wiped out all over the place and the Earth government could do shit all about it so the Illusive Man got massive popularity and support for Cerberus just because they actually did something to stop the Collectors.

There are several conversations and lore bits in ME3 about the first contact war where Turians kicked humanity's ass with what was considered basically just a scout fleet. And Turians were almost willing to wipe humans out for the audacity of actually fighting back.

Ashley's issue was that she is just completely blockheaded and has no nuance at all. It's pretty stupid to shit on half your crew because they aren't human when humanity needs aliens to survive.
>xenophobia could be a good story element
But it is vastly unattractive for a love interest so that's why people shit on her for it. We got enough xenophobia from humans all over the trilogy as is.

>In ME1 she offered a reasonable view considering the in-universe situation where humanity was the newcomer on the galactic stage and FCW&Shanxi had had intimate and personal ramifications for her and her name throughout her whole life.
Sis, Ashley's racism was an outlier in the first game. Every single human member of Normandy was less racist than her or not racist at all, except for that navigator dude Presley, who we learned in the second game had also become not racist off-screen just like Ashley, btw. The only prominent human character who was more racist than Ashley was Udina.

I also don't share your opinion that being xenophobic ever added anything to her character, and I say this as someone who actually likes her in the first 2 games. If you remove her xenophobia, literally nothing of value would be lost from her character. It seems they made her xenophobic for the same "le edgy realismz!" reasons fantasy authors spam the "gratuitous rape of women" button in their works.

The mod itself is still available true. What I meant by saying "once deleted / banned mods also still pop up" is:
If deleted / banned mods even show up in my history, they won't be missing in the overall list. Which concludes that every mod in my history must have been be available at one point. Which means it must or rather could have been the Sappho Mod.
If del. / b& mods vanish, then I may have doubts it's the Sappho mod.
That's why I mentioned it.
The problem with that mod is obvious. It's discontinued and probably only runs on the vanilla (not Ultimate) edition of DA:O - if ever.
And it does not mentioned anywhere that it includes the Shianni specific romance option. Shianni files are included but who knows the content? She can be met again along the storyline in the Alienage which might just be content for the other LIs instead of her specific Romance option.

It was a decade ago, so my memory of it is pretty vague desu. But I am going try once again. Hopefully this time with no roadblock along the way.
If you have an old copy of the vanilla edition of DA:O you might be able to run the mod (maybe). If you get both to run you should see a scene with TAV insta flirting and kissing / bedding Shianni on the very first scene. Then you know it was the correct one.
Anonymous No.4482971
>>4482955
To be honest my computer doesn't even have a CD/DVD drive anymore. So even if I owned an ancient copy of DA:O I wouldn't be able to install it. Finding an old cracked solo version of the game is probably not impossible, but then you would have to test every patch too. I'm not THAT desperate for it.

The Shianni files in Sappho are quite large and there is even a folder called V8. A version 8 implies that it is its own major path that reqired several versions. So I have a good feeling about that being it. Like I said, the description of Sappho's Daughters specifcally says is adds a bunch of stuff for the human and city elf origins, so what else could it be? And you saying it starts with sex seems on brand for this horndog mod.

Third batch! Just like last year my brain is rotting away from this dumpster diving. I swear if I see one more "roguelike card battler" I'm going to lose it...
-------

Confirmed Yuri content:

Ledgerbound
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4065080/Ledgerbound_Demo/
Female protagonist in a mostly humorous turn based combat RPG. Game page brings up romance several times and there are several female party members. Warning? Some furries/scalies. But not the worst kind.

Highly implied yuri content:

Disciples Domination
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3953800/Disciples_Domination__Demo/
Sequel to Disciples Liberation which featured f/f romance. It's the same protagonist. I think it's pretty likely it will have the same mechanics, including the weird romances.

Potential Yuri content:

Yokai Goddess
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3598140/YOKAI_GODDESS_An_Urban_Legend_Bullet_hell_Adventure/
Two close high school girl friends going through some cursed school to solve the seven mysteries and escape together.

Touhou Fantasy Maiden Wars
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3972200/Fantasy_Maiden_Wars__DREAM_OF_THE_STRAY_DREAMER__Demo/
A retelling of the majority of mainline Touhou games as a SRPG. Apparently very story heavy and indulges a lot of popular Touhou ships.

Pieced Together
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4005690/Pieced_Together_Demo/
A game about female childhood friends and a chance to reconnect. It says it's about gal pals, but I sense some strong unrequited longing.

ๅฎ ็‰ฉ่ก—้‡‘้ฑผๅงฌ Pet Street Story
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2876050/_Pet_Street_Story/
Raising/Management sim with a card battler side-mechanic where you get cards from doing jobs and hanging out with girls in the overworld. Gives me Volcano Princess/Potionomics vibes. Mysteriously it's a cast of exclusively cute girls that the female protag gets close to. Goggles out!

Honestly Tokimeki isn't that great. Dating sims like these are actually quite boring and repetitive. Star raising and clunky date planning and obtuse random encounters make it a chore more than anything.
TokiMeki 2 admittedly had a lot of unique things and went completely off-rails with some routes, even having a full on combat system for no reason and so on.
But frankly the Persona series or Volcano Princess do it much better. One for its proper RPG story and gameplay with dating sim mechanics as a side-thing, the other for a more fun and varied raising sim experience, lore and progression towards a good profession with dating sim mechanics as a side thing.

Basically it's better to have the dating sim part as just one facette if you want a game that isn't getting really tedious. And if you just want to have several girls to date, a yuri VN would do the job better because of the actual writing focus instead of like one event every 6 in-game weeks.

I decided to play with the Fallout 2 restoration thingy to check it out (normally I am not too interested in mods that have the fan-fiction element but I got pulled in by the quest that were mostly unlocks of already sorta-present stuff). That's why I have blonde hair chosen one character.

There's an old mod that gives Miria ability to level up and some extra conversations with sometimes a bit cringy, sometimes better content. I'm not sure the old versions work anymore but the mod is integrated in "Restoration Project - Companion Expansion" now and that version works fine.
She levels 6 times, minimum interval is 3 levels and earliest it can happen is when you hit level 5 so ideally hurry to Modoc to get in her muff.
You need to give her armor for her sprite to change and then she will be able to wield pistols and rifles. Low STR before level 2 or 3 before you get PA so you probably want to giver her scoped hunting rifle (has massive accuracy bonus which can make her hit things at least a bit).
I found the best thing to give her is the Red Ryder LE BB gun from Sierra Army Depot (accurate and she shoots it twice/turn). And then pulse pistol or Alien blaster late levels.

Yeah I don't remember much, perhaps the "remove your armor"/change distance/etc responses?
With the mod you can talk cosmetics and the like (gives a bit silly message that you feel incredibly close and it was almost as good as sex), go for it and ask how she feels or what she hopes for in the future. I think there is some tracking of the "activities" you do with her and nice responses because when I tried the sex option repeatedly, she gave a bit more enthusiastic when asked about future, and I got a response where she proposes the she and the protagonist move to Vault City to get artificial insemination, both at the same time.
She has some overhead barks, one of them being she wants kids and perhaps some could be adopted (when with a woman I guess). Also some cringe barks that are a bit teenager-level fantasy. But tolerable.

I think the EPA map got a rework at some point, at least the exterior changed a lot. perhaps they removed critters from the inside levels too. Cinematic VN with tactical choices sounds a bit over the top, but it really looks like it. Who doesn't like a humans vs. vampires narrative? That's the ex-girlfriend far as I understood. And just because there is a romance aspect doesn't mean it's the focus. This seems to be mostly a detective game.

Was there Romance / Sexy Time in the original VTMB? I was too chickenshit to play through the ocean hotel all those years ago and havent tried since

Anonette, just how much of a little bitch can you possibly be? The original Bloodlines was about as scary as a children's cartoon episode about vampires. Alos no, there wasn't any romance in that game which is the reason it never gets recommended or talked about in these threads. The only VTM media you can get any /u/ out of are two of the visual novels and some of the CYOAs.
As for the new one, I heard mostly mixed reactions. It's most definitely a mess. But then, so was the nearly broken pile of hole riddled code of the first Bloodlines. They officially share the mandatory fanpatch with the actual store release these days.

There were no board related sexy times and even if there were they'd be the fade to black with some noise type events of those times. Aka not worth it unless you're a teenager.
Closest would be Heather being amorous through supernatural drugging and VV being the slightest bit flirty with MC and then disappearing after her side quests.

Which was the other vn? I know of Shadows, was there something in reckoning?

Excuse me, Fem!Malkavs just flirt differently, nee-san. They seduce the sanity out of you.
Also there is THE mod. With the UP+11.4 mod you should have a female sire at the beginning as a woman. Still mad they didn't give us the chance to actually cooperate with Ming Xiao.

I would assume that the titular "VtMB" in "yuri VtMB" is a pretty big part of it. So the devs got you 97% of the way there, otherwise you'd just be reading vampire lesbian fanfiction.

I don't get it. Sorry, my brain malfunctioned. How is reading vampire lesbian fanfiction compared to anything bad? Seriously, I'm too dumb to understand that.

If you're installing a mod to add vampire lesbians to a game, it implies you're interested in the combination of the game itself and the vampire lesbians. If you didn't think the game was worth playing, you could just go and read any of the thousands of vampire lesbian fanfics available online, or even be classy and pick up hardcover vampire lesbian smut from the local book fair. Therefore, the only "good content" in the game must be something else other than the mod, otherwise you're just eating shit for 80 hours playing a game you dislike because it has a crumb of (modded in) yuri.

TL;DR: if you thought VtMB was a shit game by shit devs, you wouldn't install a mod that adds lesbians to it, because the core of the game would still be shit in your eyes.

Ah, that's what you meant. Luckily it only circumvents the first roadblock to enjoying full yuri. After the hetero jumpscare at the beginning it gets pretty gay on some interactions imho. The mod basically banishes that moment into non-existence. Maybe all those protesting voices might have been from a Nosferatu with 0 points in appearance and 0 points in subterfuge. Sad folks.

The original game was a crashing buggy shit at the beginning which would put initial release of CP2077 to shame in errors content.

The new Vampire game was always gonna be bad because its not a fucking rpg, its an action fpbrawler with what i'm assume an ok story that falls apart at the end, like most modern games.
It was always gonna be dissapointing, same as Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, only after years of work that game is now liked by gamers and normies...thats not gonna happen with a Paradox game that they can't cram DLC until the sun death of the universe.

That doesn't equate to romance. Even the "sex" that starts off the game is just a method to draw protag in and turn them into kindred. It's a completely calculated unsexy and unromantic process.

I don't remember. But she does get turned by an "unknown" sire (as usual) and then joins the Camarilla I think. I remember very vividly how her new leader explained to her how vampires can still feel horny and can turn that on and off and MC immediately getting the hots for her.
Although when you get to the twist and main confrontation at the end it's super hard to stay alive and keep the love interest alive too. I remember trying like 3 times from the beginning and always failing, so I gave up.

Interesting, guess I'll have to play through that one. Shadows was fun, Julia's a solid goth kid.
More and more these are tempting me to get Night Road for best girl. Knife parliament as well, though I couldn't dig much up on it.
