Post links to fics and discuss them and fanfiction in general. Link fics you like, your own stuff, it's all good as long as it's yuri.

Following a very minor pairing is rough because any new fic feels amazing but also is terrifying because if the author stops updating you go back to having literally nothing to read.

This is good. There's not a lot of touhou fic writers anymore who really try to write romance rooted in the setting anymore, there's way more mindless fluff. But this one targets what I'm looking for well.

It's not the most well written story ever, there's no sex, and I don't even watch vtubers, but this is somehow my personal favorite fic I've read this year. It just hit right in the sweet spot. Very cute.

The chapter where Shego starts talking about her dad weirded me the hell out, why did the author write this and why is everyone praising it? Closed the chapter so fast. I don't want to keep reading. But the summary was already a red flag, so it's my fault for ignoring it.

The romance is decent when you look past the stuff tied to Kim's setting. People are desperate for super heroine/villainess yuri and it's like one of the only decent ones and the reason it works is because they are removed from the Kim Possible setting mostly which tends to be insufferable and not mature enough for a prolonged yuri fic. I found the fic and characters get worst the moment they are no longer 'Alone Together'. It was still readable and it's near the end so I suffered through it for the happy ending.

magnetism is another example of what I mean - the stuff with KiGo there is solid in the beginning when it's mostly Kim and Shego interacting but every other character and plot forcing their way gets in the way of what the readers are there for which is KiGo. You are trying to get a mature romance from a children's cartoon and it just struggles the moment you don't have them 'alone together' anymore.

I enjoyed the beginning of And You and I and it goes right off a cliff the moment the two of them stop interacting as much 3 chapters in and the other characters force their way in. I'm here to watch two girls flirt, seduce, fight, and fuck each other. Sometimes all the same time.

I think this is why I never got into the Supercorp ship - Lena can't go hand to hand with Supergirl ever. Where as if Kim ever gets even a mild powerup Shego just gets even hornier since now she can go all out but otherwise can still get off to just how competent Kim is in a fight.

There are fics where they are relatively on par. The ones where Lena builds a lex-style suit to be a vigilante or try for peace through domination or gets harun-el'd into being a pseudo Kryptonian. The AU ones where she's a vampire or fae, or there's different context, like the ones set in the harry potter universe.

Power scaling isn't the problem here though; you're looking for a foeyay villain and hero setup in a ship whose basic form has no actual villain and doesn't depict them as really being foes. They aren't similar ships to begin with.
