The problem with escapism is if you do nothing but escape, then society decays as a result. This is assuming that everyone has the same idea.
Look at my play time, for example. This is what happens when you devote your life to escapism. I don't care about society, however.

Yes but the themes in FFT PS1 are more political and grown up rather than kids being hurled into a fantasy world based on Ivalice also no races other than humans are playable, that being said, its a very good SRPG.
