okay I better get a move on and beat it
I wanted to just beat the basegame and start a NG+ cycle now that I got the cool weapons from the dlc but now I have pressure to actually beat it in time

The mansion segment is kino tho
>>712411619It's not really. He can travel back to the past, but he can't majorly change it, that would cause a time paradox. That's why he got poofed away at the end, because if he was there any longer everything would go off the rails. Like yeah Lea and Romeo still died, but now she dies knowing that P will go on to fight in her stead and makes things right, which he does do.
>>712411619Literally nothing is miserable about it?

Why is Lea so skilled? She's a woman.

I'm tired of avoiding 10-hit combo strings from enemies. Why does it have to be like this? Can't we back to the Demon's/Dark Souls day?
>>712411782>P will go on to fight in her stead and makes things right, which he does doUnless you picked the Gepetto ending

>>712413354Nice
Does upping the difficulty make them more aggressive or give them more moves, or is it purely damage buffs?
The DLC was fine on NG+0, but on NG+1 everything one- or two-shots me.
Just the fucking kangaroo and the chimera-elephant were blocking me for an hour. Scaling does seem a tad unbalanced.
>>712410280You kinda can? Just pirate it and put your save on it
TOTAL GEPPETTO DEATH

>>712413630What exactly is your VIG and armor parts?
I swear I see this being said a lot but havent really felt it yet (playing again on NG+ after an NG0 run)
It helps that NG+ in this game loads you up with a lot of souls, so you can more than double your level from the end of NG0 to tbe end of NG+1
>>712412983bro your parries?
>>712413560honestly imo its just damage buffs, they seem equally as agressive on the easiest settings but they do so little damage to you
Yes Alidoro, it totally is a replica sword...
>>712413805I'm sitting on 50 VIG and 40 Capacity with the best armor parts. A kangaroo hits me for 65% of my health.
>>712414087Do you have the amulet for extra physical negation?
I'm currently at roughly 54% physical damage nullified, which makes me feel like I'm at the "intended" damage level
>>712407106 (OP)Yeah. Its balancing is really weird because for new players, it's best to beat Overture right before traveling to the alchemists' isle if they care about the story, so the visions at the beginning, Arlecchino's mangled body, and the final choice are more impactful. But it would be such a huge jump in difficulty at levels 60-70 with little to no ways to counter enormous amounts of damage because the new defensive parts are only slightly better than their base game counterparts and enemies, especially bosses, drop very little ergo to level up without farming.

>>712412983I love Lies of P for the combat but I wish people would make games like Dark Souls 1 again as it gives me a very unique feeling and it's the reason I like to play metroidvanias. I've heard Lord of the Fallen is more like Dark Souls 1 than other games so I'm going to purchase it when on sale. Regarding why we can't go back, what do you expect the devs/publishers to do when the sales figures for the games looked like this before Sekiro was released.
>>712416196honestly lords of the fallen is.. serviceable, its a very cheap knock off, i have 200 hours in lords of the fallen, and about 150 in lies of p, and lies of p is way better despite having less content than lords.
>DLC actually adds small changes to the main game, nothing major but still makes it feel that the game is connected to the DLC
Absolutely based
i'm going through the base game right now, just killed the king of puppets
can i get a suggestion for a str weapon combo with good range and fast startup?
even one where i can slap a motivity crack on it.
right now i'm using the police baton + bonesaw, which has great range but it still takes a while to swing, and the big ass wrench
so I reached the point that I fight a lady who undress when she goes phase 2 when should I enter the dlc after beating the final boss?
>>712412812She put her soul into her blade. That's why a simple blade becomes a murder tool in hands of P too, since the blade resonates with him.
>>712416857Perfect time.

Story spoiler for DLC
Not hating but what was the point of (probably) Sophia sending us back in time for the DLC?
Not like we accomplished anything by the end
>>712418323The anon is exaggerating about the croc, the elephant chimera however....
But that said you should get to the final fight of the base game and then go to the DLC
The first zone of the DLC is higher level than the final one on the base game (imo)
Level 75-80 seems a good starting point for the dlc on NG
>>712418670It wasn't Sophia, it was someone else's power of the white butterfly. Possibly a hint towards their next game.
anybody has the webm of the director talking about the upcoming patch?
>>712407106 (OP)Base game yes.
>pic relatedI still haven't buyeded a DLC.
Not browsing this thread to avoid spoilers. I haven't had too much time to play and only gotten past the big gator so far. What are they changing?
I'm not even sure what's going on with the story at this point but the ending made me emotional.

>>712418984they blanketnerfed the entire game back on release (enemies/bosses are slower, have less hp, buffed player weapons, gave you upgrades earlier, etc.) so you can expect the same for the dlc

Literal tinfoil hat tier schizo who was right about everything.
>>712419330Oh so there's no plans? Although I didn't know they did that. That's pretty crazy
So how many years have passed between the DLC and the main game?
>>712419549Probably more like months. There's still people alive in their houses in the base game that we can talk to through their windows. Can't imagine they would survive years in there
>>712419647The kitty in a hub grew up. So maybe a year or two. Puppet Frenzy did not start at least.
Just beat the hammer chick with the bow, this weapon is great. When she did that flamethrower move I just sat back and charged up the giga arrow fable art.
>>712419773This is probably the best bow weapon i've seen in arpgs, and it doesn't need any sort of melee gimmick to function properly, like simon's bowblade.
Even though the fable generation per shot is fairly limited, you can still quickly amass fable for the giganigga shot because of how fast you can shoot too.
>>712416196yeah don't expect LotF to be a masterpiece but it's definitely the soulslike that tries the most to capture the spirit of the old souls games rather than being action-focused like most of its competitors
>>712419898I also beat the croc with it and it's still at upgrade level 3. It's amazing for exploring levels and just thinning out crowds from a distance. It's low damage per shot but the dodge heavy play style is just fun and I like constantly getting arrows off. I also like the perfect release timing on the charged heavy, that type of thing always makes ranged weapons fun for me.
>>712419773>>712419898>a functioning bow weapon in an ARPGfuck, i gotta get to the DLC pronto

Any cool advance weapons in the dlc?
>>712420961Flamethrower lance and Laxasia sword.
I used the umbrella through the whole game
>>712420961no boss weapons but you get a literal flamethrower and proto laxasia sword (much smaller) with really cool abilities
>>712417954I kept bashing my head against the crocodile because I was clearly underleveled (63) before switching to the newly acquired bow and using fire grindstones, which made the fight almost as trivial as Manus.
>>712419393He claims Geppetto responsible for the puppet frenzy and able to stop it. He also either sees through Sophia's shenanigans, frustratingly telling you to stop coming back, or has been infected since one of the symptoms is dรฉjร vu. The latter is more likely because he says that even before you die to him.
So how does the dlc compare to the base game? (fun-wise)
Is the dlc worth the price? Seems a bit steep for some dlc so I'd hope it's at least 10 hours or so at that price.
>>712421225Dlc weapons are all unique and fun.
Even the weapons that can be disassembled have something unique about their head/handle.
>>712419549Unknown, but it's clearly been years since that's what one of the loading screen says. If there's info on how often the grand exhibition is held, you can use this as approximation because the one in the base game was supposed to happen during the DLC but was cancelled.
>>712421231yeah it's somewhere between 10-15 hours
Difficulty 2 on the Boss Rematch is normal Legendary Stalker right? Diff 3 feels like NG+, the bosses do so much stamina damage. I beat base Legendary Stalker final boss in the DLC, did difficulty 2 and it felt similar but I struggle on phase 1 just purely from stamina issues.
>>712421383nice, and the levels and the bosses?
>>712420682check what level the save is, right now there are NG available saves but on release before people posted those the only saves available were NG++ for achievement purposes so a lot of anons like myself played the DLC on NG++
>>712418670To save Rosauru mainly and also to make sure that Geppetto can reach Romeo in time.
>>712421679NTA, the levels are pretty simplistic, even the more interesting ones (like act 2 factory) are fairly easy to navigate and fully explore BUT are a step above just being a long ass corridor like they were on the base game (factory and mall excluded). Thats not a terrible thing as it allows you to fully comb them with just a bit of backtracking which i appreciated.
Bosses were just ok imo except for the last one which i really enjoyed, being pretty similar to Laxasia. The rest were ok, perfectly fine. Also the humanoid minibosses were more challenging than in the base game
>>712421679Levels are pretty linear, if there are side paths, it's only 1~3 rooms long.
As for bosses, they are pretty eh in general. Only the puppeteer boss was mechanically interesting. The rest are just aggressive attack spammers.
Why is this bitch so disgustingly tanky?
Can you set the game to easy difficulty and then back to normal again? I'm only on NG chapter 4 in an old save and I'd rather just rush through it so I can get to the dlc
>>712421679>levelsA mixed bag. Every level looks and feels unique, but enemy placement is all over the place. The first levels are full of beef walls that hit hard as fuck, but later on, you fight one or two regular carcasses or slightly different puppets at a time. Some of the new enemies feel a bit underused, like voluptuous female puppets that shove their feet in your face.
>bossesAll mop the floor with what you fight in the base game. Some have arguably bullshit moments like the final boss, the second-to-last boss, and the first one (but only because of the camera), but their mechanics and designs feel quite refreshing.
>>712422413>>712422876>>712423038sounds pretty good overall although I maybe expected a bit more considering how long this took to make, but I'll definitely play it as soon as I finish Khazan

>>712423152It's like half the base game in terms of content and length, so I wouldn't say it took too long to make. If anything, it feels a bit rushed thanks to being shadowdropped and various bits of its story and gameplay, hints at other outcomes, which simply don't exist, as well as how some of the base game characters having no new dialogue after beating the DLC.
>>712423965The giant saw blade and the kukri handle.

>>712407106 (OP)No, and I am mad. Same thing happened at launch. I was playing the moment it unlocked but because I wasn't poopsocking this shit for 8-10 hours every day they nerfed the final boss before I even got to it. Fuck this shit
>>712424910Try it with a lighter head, the flame ticks faster
>>712424852Why does she look so much like Lea? I thought they were the same character when Lea's face was revealed.
>>712422915You have the wrong amulet equipped. She's a human not a robot. Switching to Murderer Puppet's Amulet will give 15% bonus damage.
In stage 1 she takes half damage from physical, because of her armour.
She is 15% weak to Acid in both stages, because she is human.
I used Acidic Crystal Spear blade on the Pistol Rock Drill Handle.
If you break her sword stage 1 ends regardless of how much health she has left.
NO WAY
They stripped her naked?
Is this game even difficult as it is?
>>712407106 (OP)I havent yet but if it counts I beat both Radahn versions before they were nerfed, I mean patched. No mimic tear or magic, just unga. Can I do a twink bunga build on this? what am I getting into here?
>>712407106 (OP)Should I get this or sekiro? The only two popular souls like I have yet to play. I value level design and exploration a lot

>>712424852Laxasia prequel when
i played most the game without using altered weapons, i might be the only person who doesnt like this gimmick because of how messy it makes the inventory of the leftover handles and heads i cant stand it. did like 3 pt just using mostly the coil mjolnir, played around with others and experimenting with weapon combinations but just never really liked anything, aside from maybe the dancers handle and sawblade head
>>712425829I'm fine with the system cause it lets me put a heavy damage blade on a fast handle but it does it make it hard to decide what to use
Why the hell would you let her die?
>>712416624Bone saw blade with dancer blade handle. Use a crank on it.
>>712425187Always play Sekiro before Lies of P, regardless of what you value.
>>712425274Too defensive. I appreciate Lies of P and Khazan for more dynamic fights.
>>712425136In Elden Ring the player character can become freakishly OP with the right build. You cannot do that in LoP.

Bad game design.
>>712426249I'd say guarding + attacking with a big blade is plenty OP
It got to the point where the riposte attacks on a staggered enemy would do less damage than just doing a charged heavy lel
I also never realized door guardian had a gimmick cause I was only using charged heavies anyway
>>712426361At least that one only has one healthbar. It gets much, much worse
Is there even a single boss that just has one phase in this game? The Stalker fights I guess, if you count those
>>712416624Pick the longest handle you like the moveset of, then put the lightest matching blade (slash/stab), congratulations you have ultra fast windup
>>712426451lots of some bosses have one health bar but change move sets midway through, do people count that as a one phase boss fight because of the one healthbar while other bosses get another healthbar once you kill them one time
>>712426617If a puppet rips its own head off to use as a club, that's a new phase regardless of whether the health bar changes
>>712426361>>712426675Why is that bad game design?
A boss is meant to be more complicated than a regular enemy. And it's not like they go crazy with it, it is the first boss after all. Both phases share many moves.
>>712426337you lock yourself out of the good ending
>>712426778It's bad game design if it happens on every single boss, and most of the time with a cutscene and new healthbar too
Second phase is supposed to be a surprise, not a default
>>712426249Hmm, sounds interesting. I usually go for big stupid blunt weapon builds but I might just try something else here, maybe a sword and board. I'm just getting done with Nioh 1 base game, so will probably put it down before getting into the DLC and give LoP a try, thanks anon.
>>712424525>>712424579I think it stands for Paracelsus given the ending though.
>>712426796The bad ending is kinoer anyway
Ill get it after the patch and tell everyone I beat it before. literally nobody can stop me
>>712427423steam achievements have a time and date
i WILL stalk you
>>712426882Cutscene and second healthbar is a separate issue, not relevant to the Parade Master. Although I do think Lies of P over-uses that trick. It's bad because of its over-use, not because of its use.
A second phase within the same health bar is good design in many ways. It introduces the player to the boss's moveset over time, as they get better at the fight. Making the fight less overwhelming. It's also a good way to ramp up the intensity over time, so that the end of the fight is a proper climax.
>>712427508>Making the fight less overwhelmingSo you like it cause you're a casual. Figures

>>712429403The hook arm is great because you can launch yourself in the air and dodge boss attacks. And grab enemies to interrupt and stun them. The Legion arms basically extend your combo to help deal more damage and inflict stagger sooner.
Theres also a legion arm passive regenerate and restore after you kill an enemy P-Organ perk, so completing areas and defeating bosses becomes faster and easier.
I started it yesterday and it's really refreshing to have a souls game that's not up it's ass with a shitty 5% finished story told entirely through vague item descriptions.

Not really liking the DLC much so far. Enemies have way too much health and some of them deals way too much damage.
Also, flailing beast enemies was always the worst in soulslike games. What part of the random flail am I supposed to parry?
>>712423787Yeah that flash is actually a secret parry.

>>712413630>tfw on NG++Hope this isn't true...
>>712430802>>712430637It really does feel like the DLC is supposed to be played at medium difficulty
I assume they'll just patch it in the middle of my playthrough
>Wondering why everyone said the final boss of the DLC was so hard when I beat him second try
>Look
>Most people don't use the NPC
But why? it's kino to fight alongside her.
>>712430905Cause it's more fun to actually master a boss rather than just hitting it while it's distracted
>Not just Booster Glaive+Live Puppet Axe head
It worked for the base game and it works here, you can literally just charge R2 whenever you have time and win because of how much stagger damage you get out of it.
>>712430905because muh favorite streamer beat it without help
Will I max my P Organ on NG+? I already ran out of upgrades I actually want and am getting dumb shit like gold fruit cooldown
>>712430905souls meme of playing everything solo melee only did irrepairable damage to discussions
For Markiona, do I just ignore the puppet and focus on her billions of health, or do I want to down the puppet?
>>712430236You can easily dodge most red attacks. They just don't have i-frames.
Unironic skill issue if you though that they forced you to parry.
>>712430905>Used summonsYou didn't beat the game.
The boss feels like it's meant to be bullshit difficult but if you want to beat it and get over with the DLC you can use the summon.
First and last time I used summons was against Laxasia and I felt cheated out of an actual fight. Luckily I could refight her later, but I don't get how people enjoy using the summons.
>>712431037I did almost the same but with an even smaller handle
The fun part is that your block damage reduction is completely independent of the handle you use so you can just sit on block all day lel
>>712431123Optimally you take down the puppet once, right when she's about to phase 2.
>>712430905It used to be that you would always summon an NPC that you could to a boss to do their quest.
Nowadays players are really braindamaged.
>>712431171Live Puppet Axe is just legitimately too good and trivialized so much content, it was hard using the DLC weapons at all because they did so much less stagger and damage for way more effort.
Plus you lose the ability to instantly break half the weapons in the game while having insane guard.
>>712431134>LaxasiaI folded her ass once I learned that you can reflect her sparks and damage her with it
>>712431328Such a fucking kino mechanic
>>712431090The DLC has additional P organ upgrades.
>>712431134Well that sounds like a skill issue lil bro, I did the entire base game without summons easy, NG+ too but I'll always pick whatever's more fun and fighting the joker puppet was kino with Lea.
>>712407106 (OP)What's so hard about it? I haven't died more than 2 times to any of the bosses in the dlc and i'm already at chapter 3
>>712431012You can do that in the boss rematch mode. You're just denying yourself for no reason
>>712431360With the quartz to go along with it or am I better off saving up my quartz if there truly is no upgrade that benefits me anymore?
>>712431428Needs Quartz but also a DLC-only item.
You should fill all your Quartz slots first.
>>712431421I am denying myself what exactly? A boring fight?
>Victor is weak to acid even though he literally has acid being pumped into his veins
?
>scrapped watchman is weak to acid even though it's a puppet and no other puppet is weak to it
????
>>712431414>Lying on the internetHow creative, surely nobody has done this before.
>>712431090you get access to Phase 6 P-Organ upgrades, and in NG++ you get to Phase 7
NG+ is actually fun in LoP because you still feel some progression
>>712431581I know, but I already got all the phase 6es I want. And I'm not gonna run through the game AGAIN just to get phase 7 and reduce my weight
>>712431580I'm not lying, i'm at the excavation site and i only died 2 times to the overseer, btw 'm not on ng+ if that's the reason it's not as hard
I put the difficulty down to "Awakened Puppet" (1 setting below normal) for the Veronique fight.
Hole shit, this is a huge change.
>enemy moves and attacks and swings at about 80% speed. Longer gaps between swings, and the hammer moves slower through the air.
>perfect guard window is twice as many frames
>enemy does 30% less damage
>enemy has 30% less health
After 20 failed attempts against Veronique --where my best was getting her to 1/4 health only one time, most failing before 1/2 health-- I beat her first try on easy mode. I perfect guarded all by one of her swings and broker her hammer just after she started phase 2.
There is 1 difficulty setting below this one, I cannot fathom how easy that would be.
>>712431707Yes yes. You are clearly better than everyone else, good for you. Now go have your mum make you a snack.
>>712431721>enemy moves and attacks and swings at about 80% speed100% made up, the difficulties only affect health and damage
>>712425051>Try it with a lighter headLike what?
>>712431721I thought all the difficulty settings changed was damage?
>>712412983>>712416196Unironically play AI Limit, it avoids the bullshit delayed attacks and flailing enemy spam plaguing the genre right now so combat is actually fun and intuitive. Has great exploration too.
>>712431790>>712431805I agree, I wouldn't have expected it to do that.
I used it to pass the Green Monster of the Swamp and noticed no such change.
But in the fight against Veronique it was so obvious, I couldn't have simply been mistaken.
>>712431805That's correct. Anon is posting lies on the internet. I guess to falseflag lower difficulties as being easier?
>perfect guard still depletes your stamina
why
this feels so strange after playing Khazan
>>712430905>i cheated on the exam>wtf it was so easy? whats the big deal guys? You didnt beat the boss.
You should be ashamed of your dishonorable behavior, and never speak of it again.
>>712431985Yeah I don't like when parryslop still uses a stamina system honestly. There's a pee organ upgrade to make deflects not use stamina, but that might be NG+ only
>>712420564that's nice.
i'm still halfway though the base game tho, might be a while
>>712426197>>712426457cheers
>>712432047All doing good at an exam tests is how good you are at taking exam tests.
Cheating and getting away with it means you're good at taking tests technically.
>>712432146You would like to know that huh
>>712412983I haven't played Lies of P yet so i don't know how it is, but personally my issue isn't the amount of hit bosses do, but the difference in "turns" between you and the bosses.
It's fine to have 10 hit + boss attack if I can whack them after that. The issue in shit like modern souls is that they do those 10+ hit, and then the only thing you're allowed to do that is some lame R1 twice and that's it. Also lack of combat diversity (again, just R1 or R2, having 1 combat art in ER doesn't make up for that).
Systems like the ones in Khazan or Wukong has been my favorite recently just because of that, they feel more dynamics and you get to do shit on your turn too.

Fuck this (literal) Bastard
>>712432225nvm found it
Bit weird to name yourself "miscarry"
>>712431581>NG+ is actually fun in LoPdoes it change anything, levels/enemies wise?
or is it just extra stuff for the MC?
>>712432229>Lies of P yet so i don't know how it is, but personally my issue isn't the amount of hit bosses do, but the difference in "turns" between you and the bosses. >It's fine to have 10 hit + boss attack if I can whack them after that. The issue in shit like modern souls is that they do those 10+ hit, and then the only thing you're allowed to do that is some lame R1 twice and that's itThere's no "turns" in Lies of P since every parry contributes to breaking bosses posture bar, similar to Sekiro. So even when youre technically defending youre still working towards doing dmg.
Then the bosses posture bar breaks, and you have time to do your big combo and then do the riposte attack.
(if youre running fast weapon you can do dodge+attack instead, both playstyles are viable; my 1st playthrough was like 90% dodging with dexfag weapon and it was perfectly fine)
>>712432457No need to dodge, ever. As a dexnigger you can very easily do perfect block + attack in the middle of the enemy combo
>>712432229In Lies of P even with bosses with longer combo strings, I've generally felt like there have always been moments where the boss had a noticeable pause that could be taken advantage of.
>>712432538Dodging is sometimes better than parrying
>>712432457>similar to SekiroThe big difference is that in Sekiro, breaking posture means that you kill or remove a health bar. In other games and this one, you just do a bit of damage. Not at all the same thing.
>>712432297is there anything fun you can combine the flamethrower paint into?
>>712432618Well it takes signifcantly fewer parries in LoP to get posture break compared to Sekiro, so you will be posturebreaking 3-4 times per boss a opposed to one-time per hp bar like in Sekiro
>>712432538>No need to dodge, everDo not listen to this niggery advice.
>>712432683>>712432618The main difference in Sekiro that retards always miss is bosses reacting to your attacks. That's the whole HESITATION = DEFEAT thing, most bosses will be put on the back foot by you relentlessly attacking. Every single other parryslop game only has bosses like Monk where it's a big HP sponge that doesn't care about you attacking it
>>712432679That's just verifiably untrue. There's a reason the world record mixes in dodges and parries
>>712432618Heโs not saying itโs the same, just similar. Which it is.
>>712432842Yes, because world record trannies totally play the most fun way, right?
>>712432645I've experimented a little, but I think you'll always want the blade to be as long as possible because the flamethrower attack length is determined by it. Tried the Salamander Dagger blade for example and the flamethrower became a blowtorch lol
>>712432357no it's not dark souls 2 tier amazing
for enemies it's just HP/damage increases
but along with the phase 6 P Organ you also get better versions of the armor/amulets you found in the basegame
>>712432862Sort of how like Lies of P and Pong are similar.
>>712432897oh, interesting. I remember the acid blade being pretty long too
I'm replaying the game before the DLC

>>712434687That's the Pistol Rock Drill. Kukri is bad at stabbing so it's bad with the PRD.
The Exploding Pickaxe moveset is mostly vertical swings.
Mjolnir is mostly diagonal swings.

>>712436828>Maniac's Pinwheel Blade + La Vendetta Handle
When did you guys realize dodging was a meme? I did my L10 run being slightly heavy most of the game and just parryed everything
>>712438832Slightly heavy runspeed is so fucking slow
>>712429984I wouldn't mind even more story, if you're going to charge 70$ for a game at least put some effort into having a memorable story and characters
>>712412983Here is the issue. I actually went back and replayed DS1-3 earlier this year.
Dark Souls 1 (haven't played since the original PC release) still has the best atmosphere and feeling of exploration out of all of the games. The problem? It is now so easy that it is kind of boring. I've never been a great Souls player, yet I one shot nearly every boss with just a standard ass build. No crazy cheese red tearstone ring giga buff pyromancy crap. I played a dex build and was just able to very easily beat everything. The DLC was the only part where I died more than once to a boss and it felt like something of a challenge. I died more to environmental stuff and trying to make janky jumps than I did bosses/enemies.
Dark Souls 2 still had pretty good level and exploration despite everyone memeing on the levels and the "paths" and stuff. However, the janky animations and hitboxes hurt the game a lot. I died way more than DS1, but I didn't feel especially challenged. Most of my deaths felt like bullshit.
Dark Souls 3 I think was OVERALL the best balance of difficulty with exploration. It was not as good as 1, but better than 2, and the bosses were much harder. I died a lot. However, there were plenty of levels I was not a huge fan of (the cathedral just sucks), and I think some of the bosses do start to go a bit too far. Dancer is just an annoying ER-tier fight in DS3 and I died to her more than any other boss, even DLC ones.
tl;dr - It is hard to make a game like Dark Souls when it is now so easy that it undermines the atmosphere.
>>712417247The clown killed me more than most of the bosses when I played at release. There is just something about his attacks. The perfect amount of jank, delay, and weird animations to fuck you over.
>>712415128I didn't farm anything and I hit the DLC at level 79. However, I did use the p-organ upgrades and amulet that gave extra ergo so that probably made up the levels.

They have a lot of forward movement so you can engage from further away so it's safer and easier to hit enemies. The slashing ones also tend to have wide arcs which makes hitting multiple enemies easier.
>>712445739the croc surprised me with how many complaints he had, made me expecting some bullshit but it was just the camera with how much he tends to push you into the corner. He deals average damage and is a one phase boss.
>>712445910Become a jiggalo for old big tit aunts
>>712445259100% with dorothy as the MC, why else would they show her around krat at the end of the game
WHY I CANT FIGHT THE CROCODILE AGAIN???
Also do you notice the BIG buff?
>>712446073>Dorothy>Swamp Puppet as Tin Man>Klaus as Cowardly LionWho is scarecrow?
>>712445986He's difficult to learn perfect parry timings on because its hard to gauge the hitboxes of a boss the size of a semi-truck that's spazzing out with obnoxious camera fuckery
he's not so bad, if you dodge and have a faster weapon, he's honestly a pushover
>>712445910>lop 2 has a revamped hotel by P that also talks and is a good geppettokino?
>>712442660it'd be funny if it was just our puppet carlo
>>712445951>Was she into CarloThe entire reason Simon is so asshurt is that she choose P over him, going far enough to gift her very soul to P. The other dude's fate just shows how madly Simon wanted that blue ass for himself.
>>712445986Personally I found the Abomination Giraffe mini boss as worse than crocodile
>>712446073The moment I saw Rosaura had red shoes, I immediately wondered if she was going to be Dorothy.
>>712446370Oh I was reading it as something in the DLC like a note mentioning her and Carlo rather than main game stuff
>>712445965nta but since we're discussing DLC weapons, all of them are extremely fun and viable. On day 1 I thought the exploding dildo is a meme but it's starting to grow on me.
What's a good weapon for a NG++++ playthrough (mainly used Ark sword). Heard Twin Dragon can be neat and I guess there's also Lea's boss weapon for story flavor sake. Though I am probably going to be rocking Black Rabbit gear
No, I played Nioh 3 Alpha instead because i have sex.
>>712445910That sounds cozy. If P knows about Paracelsus though I imagine he'd want to go after him.
>>712446073While I think her being mc is a real possibility, it could also be the case that she's an important npc.
>>712407106 (OP)The current game already is in shitter-friendly state anyway. Has been since shortly after release, 2 years ago.
>>712446471Vendetta has really high guard and you can build it's exploding stacks by blocking with it.
The buff overrides the stacks though so building stacks by guarding seems like a meme.
>>712445986I think the only thing that kept getting me with the crocodile was like the third attack in one of his combos that for some reason deals twice as much damage as any other attack he has.
>>712445910He's probably going to be sought out by that group Paracelsus is a part of now that he's an immortal bro (at least in the good ending)
>>712446370the question is who made the puppet vessel for her, and would putting her soul into the puppet be a reason enough to power down Carlopuppet
>>712446798Had to be Simon who made that or had it made
>>712446471I've been progressing on my Motivity character and holy fuck, the Gunblade is fun as fuck, dope moveset and does great damage, killer sound design too, all around very satisfying to use, especially with something like the shotgun arm for more explosions
I also like La Vendetta, its basically an exploding baseball bat, can't forget the pinwheel either, I used the Puppet of the Future Welder on my Advance character and that thing is absurd
haven't used the claws or the rocket spear yet
>>712446798I think if he's a protagonist of the sequel his heart will get stolen to be in line with Wizard of Oz.
>>712446772>Stubborn AND FoOolisH. How very HUMAN of you!"
>>712446798Simon probably had it made with fully functional onahole pussy because he knew her physical body was only going to keep deteriorating and he didn't fuck with that.
So Simon has consciously manipulated the events so Arlecchino would be let loose near the Rose Estate, right?
>>712446772I can't express how much I love this nigga, I don't know who the voice actor is, but goddamn, he's insanely good, every single line is great and his design is striking as all hell
The tasteless manโs bloodbourne
>hearing the extra dialouge and lea's goated voice acting during the final battle
bros maybe I missed out by not having her help me
>>712446772>nearly 2 hours of trying>finally get past phase 1 regularly with most of my cells intact>try summoning Lea once>had to suicide because I almost wonIs there no middle ground
>>712447248Just beat the fight with Lea and then fight him solo with the boss rematch feature
>>712447304Which rematch level is equivalent to NG level on legendary stalker?
>Rose Sword is actually just a normal sword, Lea just poured so much of her vows into it, it becomes this magical blade of assrape when wielded by her or P
>>712447383Not sure, I fought him on lvl 3 I think? that felt right
>>712447383there's no equivalent. 3-4 are easier than legendary stalker but 5 is harder than legendary stalker. if you miss a parry you lose like 15% of ur weapon durability shit is insane
>>712407106 (OP)nah
i played nightreign
>>712447082Likely since his main alchemist rival was one of the people in charge of the place and once he was out of the way he basically ruled the Alchemists
>>712447452>>712447474I'm gonna beat him with my parry grindstone first in the story then
>>712447160His whole questline is a delight to go through. The VA knocked it out of the park and I was glad he got to come back as an actual boss in the DLC as it meant more of him chewing up the scenery through his audio recordings and the fight
>The near last phone call you get from him where it becomes more evident that something's up when the voice becomes noticeably garbled when he says the word "MURDER"
>>712447618>manage to survive his opening attack in phase 2 fairly reliably (need a heal after though)>he fucking does it AGAIN laterjeez, I don't blame anyone for using the parry grindstone, that combo is rough
>he used anything other than the default arm
You didn't beat the game.
>>712447716He feels like several allusions to Pluto at once, probably conscious ones too.
>Brau's awakened murderbot ego>Pluto's power and artfag background
>>712447814I can't help it bro, the other legion arms are too much fun, the shotgun legion arm is all I ever wanted for this game
wish we could upgrade it, just punching a fucker is satisfying as hell
>>712447160>>712447716he is DEFINATELY gonna be a recurring villain if this really becomes a series
I wouldn't be surprised if there is another motivated version of him outside of krat
>>712447082Him and Gepetto
In the cellar you can find a murder police puppet near a corpse, with a letter to warn Sophie's father of Manus betrayal. It was the 9th letter so you can assume that every letter before that the messenger all got killed by the bot before the message can be delivered.
>>712447956I beat the DLC and only just realized it has a timed super shot. I really should read more carefully.
>>712447992I mean the guy survived two thorough shreddings. Plus with how Ergo works it wouldn't be surprising if he somehow reincarnates in another form when some other tard fucks around with it. He's too fun not to have come back somehow
>>712447449if only Romeo didnt get screwed over, he'd be able to use it too..
>>712448162It's a shame there isn't some follow up to Romeo after the DLC unless I missed something. Like P/Carlo going back to the boss room and doing something
On the one hand, its really cool that throwing items in this game are powerful and viable as a ranged option to keep up pressure
On the other hand, it almost feels like cheating sometimes, when the final boss enters phase 2, you can chuck like 4-5 items at him and knock off a ton of health before the fight has even started

>>712447992>>712448119>Comes back in a later game, but his Ergo could only manage to find a baby doll to manifest in
>>712448358its his challenge run
>>712446772What legion arm is actually good against him?
>>712448309In the base game you can chunk Larxasia 2nd health bar to half while she was in the air, before she could do anything, with throwables.
>>712448309that's what i did. And it's likely that he would do that move twice in a single fight
>>712448162They look like real people in a photo here
Wonder if it's actually a photo
>>712448119>>712448358A wackier route is if he ends up being the Scarecrow of Dorothy's group
>Doesn't remember previous game events outside of vague stuff as he got fucked up super hard>Do his questline to proverbial "get him his brain" ie memories>Ending is either him becoming a boss or having "helping" the gang by holding off a super boss where its more just him indulging his murderboner again.
>>712448502Puppet String (assuming you time it right) is effective as always, you can use Aegis to take off a LOT of pressure from his longer combo strings, the two new ones (Icarus and Cataclysm) are highly effective as well, since Icarus is basically free damage and Cataclysm does both good damage and builds stagger
I suppose you could also use the electric and fire arms to get some status on him too if you like, I doubt he stands still long enough for the acid puddle or mines to be even slightly useful
>>712447474>3-4 are easier than legendary stalkerAre you sure? I beat him in NG and immediately went for a rematch (diff 3) and he definitely does more than the base game
I started this, but then Lords of Fallen went on sale and had multiplayer, which actually sucks because everyone I summon just starts rushing the whole fucking game and I am just keeping up feeling like I'm wasting my time and not actually experiencing anything. I should just go back.
>tfw the carcass bear actually leaves you alone if you do the play dead emote
>Brau was amazing in Pluto
>Arlecchino is amazing in Lies of P
You simply can't go wrong with this archetype

>>712413779did nothing wrong

Souls is a dungeon crawling format where difficulty should be evenly distributed across player limitations, the environment, asymmetrical enemy encounters, knowledge checks, preparation, and combat. Everyone that plays these wannabe action game souls-likes should know by now the shallow and dishonest result of consolidating difficulty into enemy movesets alone. The sooner this genre dies the better.

why are thes esuck
Do you guys play on pad or m+kb?
I hope the sequel has a gunblade just like Pale Knight, I don't know why, slapping a revolver barrel onto a sword and having that sword explode just activates my neurons
>>712450026Remnant 2 is good.
So for defensive parts, I found a new cartridge, converter and liner, is there a new frame and if so, where is it?

>>712450373is it the one that can be played fully coop?
>>712450147pad ftw, playing souls-likes on mouse and keyboard is actual torture
>>712449874Sure, bar is low for video games, and Lies of P is better than most. But Souls-likes that play to the actual strengths of Souls, and action games that offer the player more agency than just mashing R1 between rolls or deflects, would be an objectively better state of affairs than what we currently have.

>>712450897Seriously, the difference between the NPC treatment in post-DS2 souls and LoP is monumental.
>>712450549the market definitely fell in a bit of a rut with devs aping souls games just because it's the trend even though sometimes it would be beneficial to let go of some mechanics. For example I don't know why Khazan has "soul retrieval" after death, it has never bothered me but also I have no idea what it's supposed to add to a game like that.
