I don't get why people hate the sun on a stick specifically by the way. It's not really useful but it's still an upgrade to the stock: the only downside is a small damage penalty but you will basically never use the stock bat for its 35 melee damage. Equipping the SoS at least gives you very occasional funny kills, and an escape tool if a pyro has set you on fire before dying.
Yeah the opportunity cost is big because some of the other utility melees are pretty good, but people often act like the SoS is a straight nerf or something, like equipping it can only be a meme or a joke when it's literally tangibly better than the stock bat.

After eleven years of playing I still have not gotten mad at spies once. I can't think of any single match I played where a spy was a genuine problem. I'm pretty sure everyone making posts like these must be a fresh install shitter or something, because there is no way you can be mad at spies.
The epic kunai DR montages are one in a million in real games and even if you meet one, all it means is that you actually have to spend a modicum of your focus on the spy almost as if he was an actual player on the enemy team, rather than just playing 12 vs 11 if it was any other average spy.

That it still a skill issue, as heavy you have the highest point blank sustained DPS in the game by far and a spy going in for a stab has to be point blank. If you turn around and shoot a spy he will die in about half a second or so.
It can be annoying if it's a really tight game where the enemy power classes are really pushing in your team's shit, so you really have to focus as heavy (and can't really afford to turn around to spycheck), AND they have a good spy who's an actual serious spy main and also always picks the best moment in a fight to stab you. That's pretty much the only time spy is really useful, though, and it happens oh so rarely. Oh, AND the rest of your team also needs to be oblivious enough not to spycheck, considering a heavy is usually going to be near the front of the team's positioning.

If you get mad at spies at any other time it's purely your skill issue for not turning around enough. At least if a sniper is making you mad, you don't have any counterplay as heavy and just have to avoid him. But when facing a spy you can single-handedly shut him down unless you're playing braindead.

That's why I play pyro alot more, when we have a heavy on the team. Someone's gotta spycheck for the big guy.

As a scout main I hate pyros so fucking much
I have to land two perfect meatshots to kill him. If I miss and take slightly too long I'm overexposed to the flames. The flames for which the pyro only needs to look in my general direction and press M1 to have me take damage. The pyro basically gets his damage automatically with zero effort, meanwhile I have to hit my shots absolutely perfectly and if I don't I lose almost all of my health by default, and continue losing health even after winning the fight and fucking die unless I can find a source of healing fast enough.

Oh of course people will say just stay away, yeah I can stay at mid-long range and pepper him with 30-40 damage spray. Pyro flame range is not tiny so now I have to press S for like ten seconds while emptying out my entire scattergun clip. I sure do hope I didn't want to be near the frontline, or that there are no other enemies anywhere behind me while I'm focusing my entire attention on killing the one pyro for a dozen seconds!

No other class has such a disparity in skill. A soldier still needs to shoot feet properly, and I can dodge his rockets if he doesn't aim well enough. A heavy needs good tracking and if I can get in point blank range I can dodge his aim. A demo needs to have even better aim than me to land his pipe before I land my meatshots. Etc. But a pyro just wins by default unless I can hit my shots perfectly, no effort on his part, just because he exists.

What secondary are you using? Pretty Boy's can pepper pyro down pretty effectively, and none of Pyro's secondaries can deal with it really that effectively. If pyro swaps to shotty or flaregun, just rush in and meatshot him with the scatter.

So a concept that people don't really think of is that people upload videos because they want people to watch them. Not that they have "views" but they want people to watch them.
Google intentionally fucks with metrics to disincentivize people from uploading videos AND will refuse to show your video to people.
This can be done under their self defined categories of "Adult" content or "Non-advertiser friendly" (Google is the advertising company, other companies are clients, NOT advertisers, it's intentionally done this way so they have plausible deniability for intentionally fucking with the visibility of videos)
This accomplishes two things
>People who make videos that they don't like ie: soldier saying NEGA are demoralized and won't post them

Most of what you're allowed to see on youtube is wildly unpopular, but most people begrudgingly tolerate it because there aren't any real video sharing websites anymore (Google murders them because they're the upstream for web indexing).
