First step is to connect the PC speaker.
All PCs, old or new have something that stands for the Intel 8253 PIT IC, the original timer.
And it uses this emulated or real component to beep and tell you the machine is indeed still a IBM PC compatible, a machine freed from a specific company, one you can do the fuck you want.
If you don't, your machine turns into a case of "i have no speaker and i must beep".
