That really is the tragedy of these games, other models using similar, but not as aggressive, FOMO models can succeed. This game could've been done as a non gacha and I've genuinely love it then, but as is I just really like it a lot. As far as gachas go it's pretty generous overall, but at the same time I can't stomach the thought of playing more than one gacha at any given time so I get why so many people will shout against/for them. I personally like the gameplay and it gets more funner once you start fucking around with different team builds and etc. But at the end of the day if you just wanna enjoy the girls there's videos of all their dorm animations up and then yeah just like go r34 from there

Unless you do some insane story based game balancing acts that work within confines of single player gameplay it's not really possible due to gacha and constant influx of new playable characters

Is GFL2 gameplay actually any good?

I started playing the tutorial, and granted it was the Tutorial, but the gameplay was so barebones and basic. I didnt understand why you would ever play a strategy game that required zero thinking to play.

I can understand dumb and simple but flashy action games. But but dumb and simple strategy? Seemed a bit pointless.

Im basically asking is there any actual challenge or fun gameplay involved that gets you using your brain and optimally deploying units

Peak Value and Expansion Drills are fun. The final Challenge Mode stage in each event requires proper builds (all of which include Klukai) but is otherwise pretty simple.
