I've played both. E33's gameplay is not remarkable, it just has a parry gimmick. It's notable for the great presentation, story and music. SB is an extremely safe and unimpressive action game and it's notable for the sexy character designs.
I'd call E33 a throwback to PS1 turn based RPGs, SB is more of a throwback to AA 360/PS3 action games.
